My wife and I are halfway through season 2... Well it is a... good show. It is kind of like "Law and Order" but ultra liberal and more character based than story based. The court room drama ranges good to great and the plots twists are very good, but time and again liberal view points are shown as always good and conservative ones are "out of touch" and old-fashioned. It is still good acting and story-telling, just it just gets a bit much at times, though I do often pity the characters and their bad life choices, but I'm not sure the writers intend me too.

On the other hand the personal drama is just over the top. These are adults making these decisions? A married woman whose marriage is on the rocks and is trying to rebuild it is pining away for her boss who was not even a boyfriend? The childish and short sighted decisions of these "adults" would be better suited to high school, if that:

"do you like me or do you "like me", like me?"

Then an adult woman pressures another adult woman at work to pursue a sexual relationship outside of her marriage because... why again? Love? With a man you've never been with except as a friend and co-worker? What about the wifes children? Her husband? The consequences? The guilt? What decision are the writers hoping I will cheer on, I wonder? If your friend pressures you to do something, frankly, stupid, they aren't your friend. Didn't we learn this in high school? It's like 9th graders are writing the moral dilemmas.

There is plenty of drama in the courtroom for these peoples jobs, then they have office politics and then, somehow, they get the energy for affairs and liaisons and one night stands and liberal life styles and such... The lawyers can vacillate one minute from standing up for the little guy to then actively supporting a known drug dealer and murderer because he has money and their firm needs it more than they need a clean conscience..

The acting and the plot twists and courtroom drama keep me and my wife coming back, I'm guessing we will finish the whole series, but it feels a little demoralizing at times to see "adults" act this way and I seldom have someone I want to see win.

FINAL EPISODE - Well without spoiling anything, we have finished this series entirely. It didn't get better. Plot lines come and go and wow, these are the most self-absorbed and lost people. And a very emotional but meaningless ending.
