"The Good Place" é tudo o que uma série de TV deveria ser: ousada, inventiva, criativa e, o mais importante para uma comédia, divertida. As performances do elenco são incríveis e existe uma excelente equipa de escrita por detrás da câmera. Tudo na série é uma felicidade e vale a pena ficar por perto da série para ver o que vem futuramente.

I would have liked to see this work but, it just doesn't. pretty much the same joke each episode, something went wrong and ethics were considered. Only character which invokes empathy is Janet, ironically an android has the most human plot. It is a weak show especially for such potentially strong performers. If you want to try wait until the season has finished and try binge watching, I find binging comedy has the effect of compressing laughs together. which for this series will only be mild chuckles at best. Remember when Ted Danson was actually funny? Remember when he dressed better? The scripts create no sympathy for the lead characters except for Janet. I keep hoping they send all four of these shallow and increasingly unlikable characters to an old style “bad place” and save us the trouble of the weak stories. This year’s plot lines make me think Michael is the one who is actually being tortured and the rest of the characters are in on the story within the story.

Thought this was going to be a better show based on the cast and a somewhat interesting premise but so far severely disappointed.

It is not histerically funny nor amazingly deep but it is a pleasant, clever and original comedy. Something different and refreshing with some touches of philosophy.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After the big twist at the end of season one there were concerns as to what direction the show would take, fortunately those concerns were unfounded. Despite the characters being removed from their usual home, something that can often be a disaster for sit-coms, The Good Place managed to keep up the level of humour whilst piling even more twists and turns.

I wouldn't quite put it on a par with creator Michael Schur's Parks and Recreation yet but if it keeps up the standards its set in these first two seasons it could come close.

The show definitely hits a wall in season 2 and it is not pretty to watch. Chidi is placed on the back burner this season for Jason, who is too repetitive and lacks any real substance to be anything more than a side character. And I wasn't a fan of how Eleanor and Chidi's growing relationship is pretty much killed off in favour of Tahani and Jason. Again, Very bad decision because all of season 1 was built upon Eleanor and Chidi so having that throw away in season 2 just ruined the character development for both of them. Expand

Two quibbles: There were a few too many bottle episodes in the middle of the series. Kind of took you away from the world of the Good Place. Jahani and Jason and the others plotlines kept them at a distance for a good part of the middle of season. So it was sort of hard to believe that they were a team and helping each other when they weren't interacting that much.

Beyond just being amazingly original, The Good Place seeks to explain the philosophical origins of western moral values in a digestible and entertaining way. Easily as good as any prestige television drama that I've seen.

You think you've seen the best of the show and they prove you wrong with the next episode. And that it's admirable due to the core of the show itself. They could've fallen in all kinds of plot traps, but they manage to build unique stories episode after episode.

The Good Place is Michel Schur's magnum opus. I am trying to find word to say about The Good Place Season 2. First of all, when you think the series is finishing all the plot it has... SURPRISE, there is more things to show! It's really well acted, with a huge script and lots of laughs... The Good Place IS the best comedy show of 2017. I can't wait for season 3.

It still isn't funny, it still isn't original, and it still has many flaws, but compared to its previous season it is such an upgrade. The characters are more likable, the predicaments entertaining, and the intensity amplified.

While I don't feel that it's as immediately interesting as the first season, I can't help but admire the cleverness of the concepts behind the continuation of this show. Great twists and direction keep Season 2 feeling almost as fresh as Season 1. Fun, innocent, maybe a bit too innocent.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Wow! I am so happy this show is really hitting its stride. I said that I thought the premise was good in my season 1 review and this season has both expanded the premise and improved its execution. I love the shift it has now taken with the characters becoming self-aware. I have a soft spot for philosophy (though I've not formally studied it or anything) and it's great to see a show even loosely based around this topic.

The acting is consistently good and I really love the characterisation of Tahani, Eleanor and Chidi especially. An underappreciated fact is that I also really enjoy the representation this show has too.

I'll reiterate my point that, whilst a bit niche, I do appreciate that this show exists and, not only that, but excels too. I can't wait to see what is in the upcoming seasons.

There’s a distinct plan in place, one that opens up all kinds of new narrative ground for the show to explore. Along the way, it gets to pursue the most fascinating questions it set up last season. What does moral growth really mean?
