Aug 5, 2022The Good Wife was great - even-handed (for the most part), well-written, etc. As an Australian, it is embarrassing how some Americans 'dealt with' the existential threat of someone they didn't like getting elected for four years. Absolutely pathetic and deranged TDS.

If the show’s bite isn’t quite as sharp as it was in the past, so be it. Who among us isn’t a little battered and bruised these days? The acting remains top-notch and it’s glorious to look at. As witty diversions go, “The Good Fight” still holds up.

Thankfully, the Kings’ unparalleled knack for topicality has confidently steered Season 5 toward where we are in 2021: largely done with Trump the man (for now), but certainly not his influence.

"Previously On" is designed to serve everyone who has been with the show since the start, of course, but to those coming in cold it's a succinct summary of what happened before that nobly sends Adrian and Lucca on their way while moving confidently into the next chapter. ... The spark and wit is as palpable as ever.
