The Goldbergs are back and just as loud as ever. It's still excellently cast and very funny. It's also filled with 80's references. It's clearly a throwback to the time. Overall it's a great sitcom and it's worth returning for season 2. Even if you didn't check out season one this is still one you should check out. Especially if you're a child of the 80's. My total score is a 8.9/10.

I just love this show. I am not a fan of any "reality shows." Seriously, who wants to see naked dating? This show is just what we need, laughter! The Golbergs, proved that it is possible to make a family show without all the cuzzing, sex, drugs, etc. It takes me back to my childhood and I relax with show. We need to unwind and laugh and this show does that for me! Thanks so much forI just love this show. I am not a fan of any "reality shows." Seriously, who wants to see naked dating? I never got the hang of it, but I love watching her skate. Expand

Being one of the viewers that grew up during this time frame I may be bias as to what a great show this is but my kids are laughing as hard as I am so it does cross over to everyone watching. It is funny how when you watch the program it reminds you of people you knew back in the day. The writers hit this one out of the park. Second season of The Goldbergs does not surprise. It continues the tradition that the first season started. Being golden in its mediocrity.

The Goldbergs is a series, set in the 80s which is great. People are extremely obsessed with them (from CDs to Dance Party USA). But sometimes it seems like The Goldbergs is actually FROM the 80s. I could easily picture the series being made in the multi - cam format with laugh track behind. It's a modern era Full House or Family Matters. It just isn't all that modern.

That - of course - does not mean that something is wrong. The Goldbergs is still cute and innocent. But in that kind of close concept, there is not enough space for growth. There is only space for mediocrity - golden or any other kind.

This show is still as funny as it was in its first season and Wendi McLendon-Covey is still hilarious.

The story arc of each episode is starting to get a little repetitive in season two, but it's still fun to watch.

Like Modern Family at its best, the series thrives on putting easily legible characters into clear-cut conflicts that are resolved through a capitulation to familial affection; the domestic space is the source of and solution to most of the show's problems.
