RWMay 9, 2009This is a sorry imitation of Project Runway. The contestants are an uninteresting and generally uninspired lot. Their idea of a fashion "have to have" is derivative, unoriginal and occasionally silly. While Misrahi's critiques are right on, the overall tone of the show matches the clothing - dull, dull, and duller.

mattAMay 7, 2009This show was terrible--the production quality was miserable. The characters never really address the camera directly, it's hard to hear the hosts/judges because they only talk to each other and never face the camera, the lighting is terrible, the music is cheesy. Worst of all, the designers are freak shows--boring freak shows. Truly hard to watch.

AlexandriaVMay 8, 2009Kelly Roland is so fabulous. She makes it more enjoyable than project runway.

LBMay 8, 2009It is like a low class project runway. Instead of having a good mix of personalities they are 80% drama queens.

raquelcMay 7, 2009A more in-depth look and listen into the designers' process elevates this show above those similar. I'll be sure to keep watching

NicholeDMay 8, 2009I liked this show. I'm not a Project Runway fan, but I tuned in to watch Isaac and Kelly. I wasn't disappointed and even got to see Elie Tahari. Not bad for a premiere show.

KayeCJun 11, 2009Sorry, I didn't like either isaac or his female sidekick. I thought the apogee came when they kicked off the gal who wasn't familiar with hip hop clothes. Hip hop is so over and done with and the way the two kingpins acted was like the designer had killed someone. Bad, very bad!

In order to fully enjoy The Fashion Show--and there is plenty to enjoy in Bravo's new reality contest--you have to resist the urge to keep comparing it to "Project Runway."
-
If you've been in runway withdrawal, The Fashion Show can provide you with all the bitchery, the language butchery and the stupefying silhouettes that you've been missing.
-
Alas, it may end up being addictive for hard-core fashionistas, but The Fashion Show needs work before it is truly ready for the runway.
