    When the first season wrapped up, I was afraid of a second season. While making a direct sequel of the epitome art work of the horror genre is NOT playing safe by any means, stick to the original material was the safest play, and I was worried if navigate through uncharted waters would impact the quality of the show. But I was wrong. The second season of The Exorcist is even better than the first one. The producers of the show were bold enough to boldly expand the base material within the rules established by the '73 movie and the first season. It was a risky season, but the risk paid off, and The Exorcist established - at least for me - as the best ongoing horror TV show.… Expand

    The second season is much worse. The writers either didn't know or couldn't think of anything better.

    Strays slightly from what made the the movie and first season so good and for that it suffers.
    In hindsight, the tv show should of stuck to being a limited series.

    The Exorcist started wobbly in season one, quickly grew into a smarter-than-expected, horror-themed drama and then turned wobbly again toward the end of the season. Season two begins similarly, but thanks to Mr. Cho’s character and storyline “The Exorcist” shows promise.
