Nov 26, 2019Although it is still quality TV, Season 3 of The Crown doesn't achieve the excellence of Seasons 1 and 2. The production values of Season 3 are high, but the cast isn't as good as it was in the previous two seasons. Olivia Coleman isn't the equal of Claire Foy and neither are the other actors the equal of their earlier counterparts.

Nov 18, 2019Season 3 of The Crown brings a new era and a new cast. Olivia Colman plays less of a stern Queen than Claire Foy, however she is much more serious. The season is beautifully shot and acted, but the interest lies more in the stories of the younger cast and as always Princess Margaret steals the show.

Jan 12, 2020"The Crown" transitions its ensemble successfully in a riveting third season that deeply explores individuality and modernity in the monarchy against tradition and duty. The show retains the rich storytelling and gorgeous production values of the terrific seasons before it, although it loses some of its zest.

Nov 23, 2019I found this season a touch boring. The acting is great, especially Colman, but I didn't think they did justice to the period. No mention of the Beatles or music at all, England's World Cup victory, not even the troubles in Northern Ireland. Too inward looking for my liking.

Nov 17, 2019A melhor série original Netflix está de volta e com a mesma qualidade magnifica de sempre.
-
Jan 13, 2020The change of cast wasn't a problem, Coleman and co did a wonderful job, 'The Crown' it's still an excellent series.
-

Nov 18, 2019Amazing season! Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter doing great job.
A must watch indeed. -
Nov 20, 2019Such great writing! Dialogue and story. The kind of dialogue that makes you exclaim even though everyone in the seen is calm and poised.
-
Nov 28, 2019Anothet Netflix gem. This show never fails to amaze me. New cast deliver great performance. Can’t wait for season 4.
-
Dec 21, 2019I have enjoyed this season however I do not think it is as good as the first. Some of the cast were not as good as the last 2 seasons.
-
Sep 28, 2022Utterly absorbing look at British society through the lens of the monarchy.
-
Mar 30, 2020Very good, it was so close to the real thing. I was sitting on the edge of the couch and wanting to keep the episodes coming.
-
Nov 30, 2020Amazing actors, well written, I can't watch two episodes on the same day because all episodes are really deep in themes, love this show.
-
Nov 13, 2022There are episodes which are among the best in the series, and there are episodes which are among the most tedious. Despite that, the Crown's sense of duty is omnipresent, and even stronger in this season, showing the sacrifices and suffering one must go to put their duty infant of desires.

The Crown remains, by far, the best soap opera on television.
-
Colman, by contrast, brilliantly inhabits the Elizabeth we all know and take for granted. There’s something dazzlingly banal about her. ... Tobias Menzies is less convincing. ... Three seasons in, the formula to which The Crown bends the knee is as plain as a huge gem-encrusted headpiece.

It is all beautifully done and tastefully told. Every penny spent is up on screen. It is immaculate. It will leave you either longing for the monarchy to be decapitated for its endless, parasitical privilege (great scenes arise from Philip complaining about being asked to cut back on his yacht consumption, for example) or abolished for the Windsors’ own good.
