Jun 22, 2015Great show!!! If you like awkward humour a la Curb Your Enthusiasm then definitely check this out, it's by no means as good as that show but it's still up there with the best comedies currently on television IMO. Crystal and Gadd are hilarious together and Stephnie Weir is amazing! I hope this gets renewed for a second season.

Apr 10, 2015Sometimes you see a show that's trying too hard and getting no where. That's what I thought of when watching the painfully unfunny pilot for "The Comedians." I like Billy Crystal and Josh Gad, but both deserve better than this limp concept with even more limp execution.

Apr 18, 2015oh c' mon man! When show with two VERY GOOD ACTORS is this bad you just have to say...c' mon man
These guys don't need raunchy dialog to be funny. And in case you missed it, the jokes aren't funny -

Jun 20, 2015The Comedians is a great show. Don't listen to all these critics and users who only watched the pilot WHICH, like they say, was not that good/funny. The show is much funnier now and I think critics and some reviewers need to revisit the show now that it's found its flow!

Jul 9, 2015Best comedy I have seen since The Office. FX is constantly putting out great shows and is becoming my favorite channel. I trust they will bring back this All Star cast for a second season!!

The combination of young and old proves lethally clever, making what felt like a strange pairing from the outset into a comedy duo for the ages. Everything with Crystal and Gad works at the most basic and extreme levels.
-
The fictional Crystal and Gad have zero chemistry as the series launches, which becomes a pivotal part of the plot as the series progresses. Unfortunately, their real-life counterparts portrayed this lack of comedic chemistry so well in the beginning that it not only impacted the development of show within the show “The Billy & Josh Show,” it was leaving a lukewarm first impression of The Comedians as well.

There’s no bite to anything in this show.... The sketches that Crystal and Gad perform in are all solid B-minus to C-plus. Their stop-and-start friendship is utterly unremarkable. Nobody seems willing to go anywhere remotely risky.
