Although it seems like they still need to work on their chemistry the show in general is fantastic, great recipes, fun segments and no stale moments whatsoever,

Each host had a role and performed it well, creating a balanced food, health, and entertainment show. The three remaining hosts are trying very hard to keep the spirit of the show alive and well. Each is likeable, talented, and plays an important part. However, they need help. The episodes when Jackie from the culinary staff is featured work well. She helps add balance to the show and seems to have decent chemistry with Clinton, Michael, and Carla. Make her a regular host! Then, maybe have a guest chef host each week. Please keep this show alive! Expand

The show doesn't need to be so crowded. [5 Dec 2011, p.46]

It is surprisingly appealing. Talk shows depend less on the topic at hand than the chemistry in the room, and The Chew has tapped five very different and amusingly mismatched hosts.

While their chemistry hasn't quite gelled--especially difficult with the show still rushing from segment to segment--there's not a bad apple in the bunch.
