    I was really looking forward to the third season. Then they decided to go full woke on the viewers and focus more on their boring agenda than the quality and development of the show. Very disappointing.

    Eric Kripke has proven that he has no idea what is going on in comics and is filming this show just to spread his extreme leftist agenda.

    Leave the Boys alone and make some of your original work without stealing someone else's work if you have no intention of respecting the original work.

    The actors do a GREAT job! Jensen Ackles is awesome as Soldier Boy, and Karl Urban deserves this spotlight. They depict the people in this series as stupid for believing Homelander and the other corrupt Supes, but in reality they now are doing to their audience what Homelander and Vought is doing to the stupid people in their series and what wokeists do to other people.
    The projection and lack of self reflection is amazing.
    These kinds of series, especially those that flipped suddenly to wokeism after a few seasons, will be case studies for psychologists in a few years. It will be a glorious era for psychology, almost as good as it was after WW2, when they tried to analyze why people did something like that.    … Expand

    The Boys wants you to believe it's a satire of modern culture. The problem is that it happily partakes in the same thing it claims to satirize. Couple this with scenes of little value other than shock with lazy and predictable writing and you get The Boys. The very definition of mediocre. Why people are falling over themselves to praise this show is baffling, assuming that the praise is genuine.

    Season 1 great. Season 2 ok. Season 3 is running on fumes. Please stop before you ruin this franchise. If you like The Boys please read the graphic Novel. It is so much better than this.

    Sorry but I don't feel any excitement watching this show. I know this is remake of a comic series but according to me this show is very overrated. These are my opinions only and it may vary with others. So, I don't mind it.

    Season 1 = AMAZING! Season 3 = MEH!!
    I have watched Season 1 three times all the way through and I enjoyed it every single time. So I was obviously excited that they were doing a Season 3!
    But I am at episode 5 and it is a total disappointment. Nothing like Season 1. Its just plain boring!
    So can only give 0 stars sorry

    Just like Hanna, a promising first season has lead to a dreadful second season. I made it five episodes into season 2 and I've had it. I was very excited for season 2, but once again we get an agenda shoved down our throats, and certain aspects of social society have to invade entertainment.     I was hoping for something a bit more original in terms of the superheroes being not so heroic, but it was just a mashup of "Hancock" and "American Gods" neither of which I was a fan of. This just isn't for me. Then again, I'm not a huge DC/Marvel fan, so I'm just not the demographic. I went to the show seeking some good villains or antiheroes, but the definition of this on the show areI was hoping for something a bit more original in terms of the superheroes being not so heroic, but it was just a mashup of "Hancock" and "American Gods" neither of which I was a fan of. Season 3 content should have shown with a decent paced 4 episodes instead they streched it to 8 episodes with unnecessary fillers which barely add anything to the story. Amazon and sony should put more budget to this franchise because they need to step up the fight scenes. But I love the cast they did an amazing job as always❤.To many fillers its like they are trying milk the franchise .     Nothing but woke garbage. Every bad guy is white and a caricature of a conservative. Every message is a real world analog that is painfully one sided. The irony is that the show is boring now, has terrible writing, and yet even with the political messaging, it's based on myths and lies.

    As someone from outside the US can attest, now I know the meaning of trump derangement syndrome after watching this season. It is a fascinating peek into the mind of the writers... and what a USA extreme leftist worldview looks like. As at show it fails in the third season, the showrunners were so busy with the propaganda than writing a good show.
    I'm angry I wasted my time watching this.

    The show painted itself into a corner. If they get rid of the main threat, they no longer have a show because there would be nothing left besides gore.

    If they don't get rid of the main threat, the show will just keep running in circles for yet another season.

    The excessive gore and sex only serves to try and distract people from the fact that it should have lasted a single season only.

    I watched 5 episodes last night and tonight I just don't feel in the mood for more obvious liberal agenda, gay stuff, butt jokes, female empowerment speeches with the occasional superhero stunt thrown in and a bunch of plot twists that don't make a bit of logical sense. Going to watch reruns of something else. And when I rather write a review than watch your show.     Can't get over the buzz around this one. Karl Urban is cool, I would watch him in anything. But this show is mostly very very average. Tedious and the ridiculous interspersed with the occasional entertaining moment. It just does not grab you at all. What is up with this site and the glowing "reviews" for mediocre stuff.

    a fascinating TV series that makes your what if's into horrifying realities. It's a refreshing oasis from the never ending marvel fatigue introducing strong performances ,gore and dark humor. I hope it can continue to develop into the cult classic it's bound to be with few hiccups.

    Season 3 is the best season yet of The Boys. For me it's this season then 1 then 2. I like season 2 but I think season 3 is a major step up from 2, soldier boy is an awesome character, hope to see more of him in future seasons.

Prior to this, it felt like it was really building somewhere but its like the creators did a 180 on Soldier Boy and just decided to turn everyone against him. Look I get he's a bad guy but I can't help but feel nothing has fundamentally changed the story from S2. It feels like a bit of a waste. I didI was really quite enjoying this season of the boys until probably the last 2 episodes. Prior to this, it felt like it was really building somewhere but its like the creators did a 180 on Soldier Boy and just decided to turn everyone against him. Look I get he's a bad guy but I can't help but feel nothing has fundamentally changed the story from S2. It feels like a bit of a waste. I did like the recurring theme of this season with childhood trauma/parenting issues bring highlighted but I just feel that to ONLY have that be the entire driving force behind the season feels like stretching one theme way too thin.

    Outside of this it still contains a lot of the elements that elevates the boys and made it such a popular show. The production on this show is always top-notch and the gore is off-the-scale. There's no doubt that lots of effort goes into the show. I just don't want it to end up as one of those shows were the story just never really progresses as they get distracted by a different side mission every season.    … Expand

    Of course this season starts with one of the goriest and sexual scenes in the entire show. Very much in the same spirit as the rest of the show. Watching Homelander's slow descent into madness is great.

    er two good seasons The X-Files really kicked things up a notch in terms of consistency in its third year. The episodes focusing on the shows mythology were a lot more generally a lot more cohesive and episodes such as "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" and "Jose Chungs from Outer Space" are great pieces of television and rank amongst the best the show ever produced.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This season features Soldier Boys awakening trying to get revenge and Temporary Compound V that can give power to someone for 24h but many doses are fatal.

    The begging of this season is terrible. Too much blablabla and nonsense like Homelander visiting Butcher and saying they will fight in the future but don't kill him while Homelander humiliates everyone in the Vought's Tower and even kill some heroes. So the Boys try to find a way to kill him searching for the weapon that killed Soldier Boy but in reality he is alive and he unites with Butcher and Huhgie to revenge for what they did to him.

    Then the 2nd half is a lot better, it shows Soldier Boy killing all his former partners and Homelander that took Vought's control going to hell and scared of Soldier Boy. But after some intense fight scenes and emotional conflicts among all the characters in the show, Homelander won.    … Expand

    In a world full of people that get constantly triggered, this show is a breath of fresh air. It's not afraid to deal with tabo topic, no, it thunders over them. And all this in excellent craftsmanship: good dialogues, great costumes, real humor, reflection of the zeitgeist - a masterpiece.

    the season 3 is better than the 2 previous seasons. It's darker and more gore and let's not forget the fun that comes with it. So far so good. The seaon has a lot of action and it keeps going up.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I wrote an earlier review of this season, giving it an 8 out of 10 and calling it the most entertaining thing on television, bar none. I said the same thing about season one and two(although two was easily the weakest). I hugely enjoyed the first few episodes I watched.
    But I've come back change that review and raise that score to 9 out of 10 because of how the episodes have somehow become more and more absurdly entertaining and slap-your-knee funny/outrageous as the season has worn on. I'm watching the seventh episode out of eight and at this point I am being quite honest in saying this season has been one of the most brilliantly enjoyable seasons of television I have ever seen. It has riveted me at every stage, and crucially, with the entry of Soldier Boy onto the scene, it has a focus and momentum that reminds me, at least as I near the season finale, of Breaking Bad as that show neared its end. S3 of The Boys has the same kind of momentum to it, like a runaway train screaming towards a cliff-edge, and I get the same sense of anticipation I felt watching Walter White escalate and escalate and escalate throughout the back end of BB towards the chaos of Ozymandias and Felina.
    I also feel a kind of attachment to the characters that I didn't before, particularly to Frenchie and Kimiko, They have all been deepened, their backstories fleshed out. I almost like Butcher although I think Karl Urban's performance is still seriously flawed, basically because he relies on that cheeky smile and absolutely horrific cockney accent to do a lot of the acting leg work. The truth is Butcher is much more charismatic and interesting when he's not winking at the camera. He's interesting enough as a nasty, messed up c***, so the chimchimcheree mockney geezer mugging and head rolls are just distracting. Oh, and Hughie's just as annoying as ever, with that permanent 'concerned' frown on his face. But really that's nitpicking - they're still interesting characters, they're just not as interesting as the others.
    And yes, people have said it many times before but Anthony Starr's performance as Homelander is truly spellbinding. To portray such a combination of strength and insecurity, to truly get across how broken and empty and meaningless his life is, to do all this without ever trying to force the viewer to like the character he's playing - it's an amazing, amazing performance. Every time he enters a room there is an instant tension that never lets up for a single second. you know that he is a single perceived slight away from turning every organism in range into chunky salsa. Terrifying.
    The budget feels like it's been increased massively too and there are frequent wonderful injections of surrealism, meta- breaks with convention, characters conversing with Disney cartoons, dance numbers where Frenchie and Kimi waltz through a hospital. And I'm not sure why but it's explosively funny now, the jokes seem to hit harder than they did in the first and seconds seasons. Some of the comic writing is sublime, reminding me of the best of Taika Waititi's films - Soldier Boy waking up from his coma and accusing Hughie of making up the words 'internet' and 'GPS' made me laugh for about a full minute. I honestly can't go into what a fantastic character Soldier Boy is in this constrained space, just know that he is. A kind of douchebag Wolverine with no PC filter and nuclear-PTSD, he is magnetic and, as I said, serves as the central focus for the show's gravitational pull as it nears the finale. We get a short teaser of a conflict between him and Homelander which ends with the latter doing a Neo and scarpering through the roof, but apart from that it's the anticipation and suspense of all these characters finally meeting up and combusting that really underlies everything.

    I love this show but the last slightly aimless season made me a lot less excited about this one, and I began to wonder if the first season's quality was a fluke. It was not. This season raises the bar enormously, hugely, and I can't think of any TV show since Game Of Thrones at its absolute peak that has been as thrilling and purely entertaining as The Boys in season three. I could rabbit on for three times this long and not cover even a third of my favourite moments from the show. Let me just say, if you haven't seen a man getting pleasured by an octopus then you haven't really experienced everything TV has to offer. That is just a tiny, outrageous slice of The Boys. It is tasteless, hilarious, ridiculously and comically gory, ruthlessly satirical and contemporary, clever, stupid, sad, happy, terrifying, riveting, but above all entertaining, constantly entertaining, like it cannot afford to let your mind wander for a single second. It wants you to have the best time you can possibly have watching a TV screen and, well, it pretty much manages it.    … Expand

    Fantastic show. I 've just started the 3rd season and the quality has continued. Very violent and gory in places, but a fantastic alternate story of a world of superheroes. Great watch.

    In this season they somehow have pushed this too even further limits without taking too much away from the story's integrity. This show is in danger of jumping the shark if not careful, but still has another season or two left in it.

    It's gruesome, shocking and engaging. Season 3 is far from perfect, it does have many issues and questions raised. But like with the whole series, there aren't any characters which really have inspiring attributes. Yet, S3 remains a strong and powerful addition to the Boys storyline.

After all that conflict is ended, we kinda went back again to the square one. Only with a more loose and screwed in the head Homelander on the run.

    Honestly the plot for the next season is what i imagine this season's gonna be. And that makes me a little disappointed at the finale    … Expand

    Another amazing season of the boys. Absolutely loved Frenchie and Kamikos storyline this season. Hughie and Butchers dynamic was as good as ever. Loved the backstory we got on butcher and noir. Actor that plays homelander deserves an Emmy. Mother's milk got to portray a lot more emotional range with his acting chips. Overall fantastic, can't wait for season 4!!!

    Wow. Holy politics, Batman. This show has great potential but loves to force their narrative down everyones throat. I don’t mind the politics, but it’s not even done cleverly and simply says “agree with me bigot”. Next, the show doesn’t even explain why their politics are correct while demanding you follow what is said, even though it’s been debunked. I’ll give the show credit with theWow. I’ll give the show credit with the gore, storytelling, attachable characters(especially Homelander). Other than that, it’ll lose its audience if it continues to dilute the show with this nonsense. The show insists that black people are held down and can’t do anything in this nightmare called America. That woman are underpaid and don’t belong in entrepreneurship. That all Trump supporters are Nazis. I can go on and on, because that’s how much the show can’t shut up with the politics. Unlike the show, I’ll explain why this logic is flawed. In the episode with Blue Hawk who brutalizes the black community, it gets into “police brutality”. The problem with that is it simply isn’t true, that the police are just hunting down black people. They also made Blue Hawk a Mexican fella and this says that anyone who disagrees is the enemy. The show does mention black-on-black crime but immediately turns back to police brutality. I’d advise anyone to look up these numbers and do their own research. The show always tells us that woman and minorities can’t work their way up in business, when again this simply isn’t true. It feels like a slap in the face to minorities who actually made it. Did they make it by sheer luck, and not hard work? But no matter, the show will digress and won’t give you an answer. I feel Seth Rogen may have too much influence and why the show is rolling downhill. Which I’m not sure how he’s allowed in a studio after his atrocious Christmas show on Hulu. To go on that note, the show claims cancel culture isn’t real, at the same time Rogen condemned his old movies such as Superbad, claiming they weren’t even funny. The show offers zero solutions to any problems they claim are happening, along with no evidence to back up these claims. Making it part of the main plot of the show. I’m highly disappointed as the first season had serious momentum. If this continues, I don’t think many people will enjoy it as we can see from the ratings going down on Amazon.… Expand

    It’s heady, heavy stuff. And yet The Boys never stops being fun. It’s Marvel with a script by Noam Chomsky. Batman v Superman where the real villain is unchecked capitalism. And – provided you can stomach the gore and the orgies – it’s the smartest, bravest show on television right now.

    What gets lost, though, is the camaraderie of the dissidents. It’s still around, but so much time is spent showing Homelander railing at everyone, it doesn’t give them their due – at least not in the early episodes. ... But the beauty of “The Boys” is you just never know where it’s headed.
