The characters are compelling and the jokes are contextual and genuinely funny. It addresses important issues but it doesn't feel like it's trying too hard. It immediately became one of my favorite new shows!

The Bold Type was one of the biggest surprises of the year. I expect mindless entertainment, but the show is so much more and doesn't scare away from tackling hot topics.

I just loved the show, a good teen/young adult intro to feminism, all the main stories are interesting, funny and charming, you fall in love for characters right away.

It has everything I like about a show - compelling storytelling, moments that make me smile, and important, real issues that are happening right now in the US. It's not too serious that I can't watch when I'm trying to relax, yet addressing many things that young adults experience in their daily life. It reminds me of my favorite show, The Golden Girls, without somewhat insulting jokes. Thank you for providing me ACTUAL entertainment. Expand

I’m not reviewing this show from a feminist’s point of view. I wouldn’t even call myself a feminist cause i think i’m not sure what that even means cause in today’s world it has been defined in many ways.
i found this show at a time when i was very emotionally & mentally very broken and i wanted some answers from someone, literally anyone and i feel like it gave me that. It has given me

i found this show at a time when i was very emotionally & mentally very broken and i wanted some answers from someone, literally anyone and i feel like it gave me that. It has given me courage, be strong and most importantly made me realise what i want to do with my life which is write. It is female focused, & maybe a work of fiction but it mirrors the real world in many many ways. It doesn’t in anyway put down the male gender which is just incredible. i love this show cause it gave me hope and strength to pick myself up & put myself first. For these reasons i highly recommend this show. The characters particularly of Jane Sloan and Jacqueline really resonated with me so much. Please watch this show! Its great! Lots of Love xx

I do not like TV shows of this kind but The Bold Type really surprised me. The Bold Type have a easy narration. This is serial especially suitable for girls because it shows true female friendship and causes so much emotions.By the way there are so cool soundtracks.

It feels less bold than familiar, and thus, in its own way, perhaps too quickly comfortable.

It’s part journalism drama, part Sex and the City-style female bonding comedy with sex and romance; it’s equally interested in being both things at once, to the best of its ability, and damned if it doesn’t pull it off more often than you’d think.

The Bold Type in fact seems to have one type in mind--and it isn’t anyone with even a remotely plain face or a few extra pounds. Whatever points it labors to make are blunted by all its beautiful people.
