    By far one of the best shows on youtube, James Rolfe has created a character called the Angry Video Game Nerd (known as the Angry Nintendo Nerd when he began, bu started reviewing other consoles as well), who does nothing but play Sh***y games he hates, and looks back angrily and bitterly at the games he hated from his childhood. spanning over 100 episodes and an in the works movie, theBy far one of the best shows on youtube, James Rolfe has created a character called the Angry Video Game Nerd (known as the Angry Nintendo Nerd when he began, bu started reviewing other consoles as well), who does nothing but play Sh***y games he hates, and looks back angrily and bitterly at the games he hated from his childhood. spanning over 100 episodes and an in the works movie, the show is well written, acted, and produced, all by james himself (with the help with some co-acting and co-writing friends). The AVGN reviews games, game consoles, sometimes figurines, media, and movies, (and also has a spin off show called Board James) but mostly sticks to games, mainly the Nes. The show, while using mostly toilet humor, and alot of swearing, are crafted well and represent the character well. It was a landmark review show, that spawned thousands of youtube copies and influenced an entire generation of gamers. AVGN has inspired a majority of reviewers, some that take the formula and expand on it, others that litteraly copy and paste the writing and style of the show. Overall, over 900,000 subscribers and millions upon millions of video views later, AVGN is still regarded as one of the best shows on youtube, and is a personal favorite of mine.… Expand

    I love this! It features James Rofle as the Angry Video Game Nerd, who reviews terrible retro games on the NES, SNES and sometimes even consoles. He knows what he is doing, is unpredictable, and has some characters besides him. I like this guy, keep it up James!

    The best web series ever created. Every single episode he's made has made me die with laughter. He does have a strange obsession with feces though. 10/10 (Masterpiece)

    This TV show on youtube is one of the best I ever seen. Sure the show is low budget probably but who cares James is very funny and he is a good reviewer.

    It's the funniest show out there. It's so funny watching James Rolfe play s****y games and reacting crazy. But he gives great examples how awful these games are. Not the best show but totally the funniest. Way better than Nostalgia Critic.

    The Angry Video Game Nerd contains slapstick humor while the Nerd plays what he calls **** games". AVGN has been one of the most popular shows YouTube so i think it's great.
