Decent first season. Season 2 has been significantly worse, not sure I will finish. Apple TV + has had a string of shows where the 2nd season has been bad…Dickenson, Servant both had disappointing second seasons as well.

It feels like a Lifetime movie. A lot of moralizing. Cheesy music. Simple solutions to complex problems. After such a brilliant first season this was very disappointing!

Overall quality went down, and it focused too much on making it woke, which I don't care about unless it lowers the quality of the show, which it did

What a fun show! But as I care more and more about these characters I'm left wincing as producer, creator, and lead actor Jason Sudeikis's woke, socialistic views bleed into the show through out-of-place one-liners.

My wife and I binged season one and we both loved it. The writing was smart, the messaging subtle, and the characters likable.

Season 2 is absolute cringe. Each episode plays like it was composed of the last five tweets whatever talentless writer saw that day. They very clearly ran out of ideas. I don’t understand how any honest person could rate this trash so highly. I mean “Led

Ted Lasso has never been particularly groundbreaking to me, but I enjoyed season 1.

This season has been filled with heavy handed political messages. From Ted Lasso acknowledging his “White privilege” to a far fetched comparison of Christianity to Colonialism during a Christmas episode. It….just feels…. So woke.. Without some of the laughs from last season, I’m honestly just watching

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Biggest downgrade in history if shows season 1 was decent and pretty funny, plus it was mostly abou football. Now Idk what itbis about, it is all over the place. They literally show santa clause flying in one episode. Like wtf?? Most actors overact and straight up bad actors. Cringe show. Expand

What happened? I'll tell you hwhat - it's woke now. And it's a formulaic dramacomedy **** like space force for example. But most importantly it's terrible writing, ted is the only one that's remotely funny sometimes and he's on the screen like 5% of the time. Oh and he's a manic depresive now. Woke Woke Woke woke WokeWokeWokeWokeWokeWoke.

Not such a big a fan of this season as the previous for one key reason. I feel like Ted Lasso struggles to decide on a tone, like one second it wants to be funny and then the next it wants to be a drama. It's not quite the escapism of the previous season and I feel like that holds it back imo. It is still more bad than good hence why I finished the season and will almost certainly watch S3Not such a big a fan of this season as the previous for one key reason. This "comedy" is so safe, boring and cringe with utterly inane clichés on England and football that it makes Emily in Paris look like some arthouse, Truffaut psychological melodrama....or makes you wonder if Kafka and the Marx brothers were writers for Brooklyn Nine Nine.
    Come on, you woketard critics!

It is so contrived. The jokes are so obvious and/or cringe that you wonder "is there anything to admire here other than a script that agrees with your political bias?". Let's put it this way, if this show agreed with every single one of my political policy preferences or, better yet, had zero political indoctrination, I would still rate it a 5/10 because it is just mediocre comedy. Brilliant. Simply one of the best shows on tv. It’s nice to see a shows that is smart, but also empathetic and kind.

This season improves on the first by tending towards the dramatic and dealing with many real issues. The inclusion of a therapist character helps break up Ted’s monopoly on self-help advice.

Still great. Still funny... actually a little bit funnier. So far though it's not as good as season 1, it doesn't have the same emotional core that the first season had.

Picked up where it left off. Feel good vibes keep coming. A shame that user rating gets dragged down because the show got in the political feels of some fool. Just a great uplifting sitcom that isn’t trying to preach any sort of a agenda. Baffling that someone would come away feeling that way.

It’s difficult to describe Ted Lasso’s as anything other than inconsistent. At times the writing is excellent with good number of laughs and some interesting character development for many members of the cast. At times however the writers seem to be trying to fit a few too many storylines into the season, and a number of plots aren’t followed through to any sort of logical conclusion whilst others (such as the Kent/Keeley relationship) repeat the same beats a few too many times. The two episodes that were apparently added late after Apple upped their episode order also feel very much out of place within the season as well, especially as nothing that happens in either of them is ever mentioned again.

Overall then, this second season still makes for a largely enjoyable watch, but it is a step back from the shows debut year.

For a show that at it's core is a feelgood, quirky comedy, it does touch on some complicated and serious issues with a clever touch.

Picked up where it left off in S01, Still hate the Roy Keane character as he is very one note, but the rest of the writing and wit was sharp, great jokes, and Jason Sudekis continues his wonderful work.

There can be no denying that the delightfully earnest coach is a likeable lead character, but the show sometimes buys into his saccharine wisdom a tad too heavily.

With 20 Emmy nominations under its belt, this is a heart-swelling rematch from a joyously uplifting comedy with goodwill to spare. Football didn’t come home, but thankfully Ted Lasso has.

The eight episodes I’ve seen of the new season (there are twelve in total) can feel underbaked and free-floating, the writing formulaic, the plots even slighter than they were in Season 1. The inconsistency of quality has the effect of intensifying the successes. ... As the presence of Dr. Sharon reveals the sharper edges of Ted’s ego, you can feel the show pulling away from the coach’s centripetal force.
