Sep 23, 2011Enjoyable real life attempt by Tony Danza to use his many special talents to lift a public school into becoming a great school. I hope this series stays on the air because it's fun and has a great human interest twist to it.

The opening episode of his new A&E reality show almost physically painful to watch. The good news is that if the viewer sticks it out, as Danza did, things will get better as the weeks roll along. They never get perfect. But he will eventually find his footing and win some props.

This teacher can be loquacious--oh yeah--but he's got a big heart, too. Danza, Northeast and A&E deserve credit for this series.

While I, too, had and continue to have doubts about the experiment--or about any unscripted show that puts minors on camera--I found the first hour of Teach to be surprisingly responsible. Maybe even a little bit educational.
