    I find this sho is great, it have suspense and is very interesting. I think NBC should bring back the second season. I dont understand why people will spect a Scienc fiction, pay attention to the last word fiction would be believable.

    Critic's never cease to amaze me in their utter ignorance. And it also never ceases to amaze me when really GOOD shows get canceled, like this one. NBC should be ashamed of itself and the critics who gave this a bad review should be fired. I found this show brilliant, engaging, well-acted, fabulously cast, gung ho, straight edge sci-fi BLISS. I'm guessing it was simply TOO smart Critic's never cease to amaze me in their utter ignorance. And it also never ceases to amaze me when really GOOD shows get canceled, like this one. NBC should be ashamed of itself and the critics who gave this a bad review should be fired. I found this show brilliant, engaging, well-acted, fabulously cast, gung ho, straight edge sci-fi BLISS.     Show got better as it went along; the characters got more interestin.; Hopefully SciFi chanel will pick it up as the suits at NBC haven't got the brains to continue it. No wonder they are lagging in the ratings war.

    Wonderful SciFi is hard to come by. This show had something a family could enjoy together. Maybe the SciFi channel will pick it up.

    This was a very enjoyable Sci-fi. It may not have been feasible, but it sure makes you wonder what the human race is doing to its own environment!! Hey, if it had been a reality show it would have lasted, they should have eaten bugs or maybe walked a tight rope over the creatures. Well maybe fear factor can do that one! Get rid of the 15 minute famers and get back to some teeth sinking shows!!!

    My whole family has been waiting for surface to come back in the fall. I can't believe it was cancelled. It was one show we could all watch together. I sure hope someone else picks it up!

    I love this show. I can't wait for the next season. Please bring this show back. You can' just leave us hanging on the roof of a building surrounded by water. Can I have a small version of the creature, like the boy has.

    In spite of the rare negative comments given by the sour grapes whose opinions of bad acting and plot lines stem from their own inadequate and jeolous lives, I found Surface to be refreshing, captivating and inventive. When I heard it was not going to return to NBC, I was very dissapointed, to say the least. What idiot made that decision, and can he/she be fired? Bring Surface Back!!!

    I think this show is awesome. I am not a big fan of scifi but the end of each episode found me wanting to see more. I have been looking forward to the 2nd season and just found out that is was cancelled. The critics can stuff it, Surface was the only show I have watched on NBC since Friends. Guess I'll stick to Fox

    I loved this show.....figures they would cancel it. I thought it to be one of the best shows on TV. Well..it's not the first tike the jerks that run the networks canceled great shows.

    I liked it, the acting wasnt all that great but it was entertaining, and thats not that easy with all the crap thats on t.v. now-a-days. They should have at least kept it around one more season. Instead they let the stupid critics ruin it.

    One of the best sci-fi programs I have ever seen! I could hardly wait for the next show. I really got attached to the story line and the people in the show. I can't believe they cut this show, every one of my friends are/were Surface junkies

    I'm not sure yet if this show is coming back, but I would be highly disappointed if it doesn't. The critics who watched this must not like a genuine sci-fi thriller. I watch a lot of shows and this one kept me interested.

    I like this show, its my favorite show. I think that there should be more about Miles though. I'd like the show to come back for a second season, if it doesn't I will be very, very bummed.

    Stumbled across this show by accident and VERY happy I did. The critics need an enema. Honestly all that gobbledy-gook they spew is asinine. Just shut up and enjoy a thoroughly entertaining show for a change! Loved it. Is it coming back?????

    I thought this was one of the best shows that was on NBC. I think that the critics have no Imagination, this is suppose to be a what if show, it makes you think of all that could happen. Its just fun. I am hoping they will bring it back. I have watch the reruns and now I am buying the DVD...So please let us know what will happen next..Just like they show alot..

    I love this show. I was extremely upset to find out that the show had been cancelled. I watched every single episode of the first season. The characters were interesting and the graphics were very upscale for television.

    The show has some good special effetcs. But one character polutes/destroys the whole show. Its that enoying kid that took care of that little creature Nim Nimrod ?, it all smells to much ET !!! (lack of fantasy) . The character seems so stupid, for one example he doesnt tell anybody about the creature, and dont even tell others other weird stuff that happends.     I really injoyed the show. For me it was filled with great lengths of suspense. I was always wondering what was gonna come next, I couldnt wait to see the next show to air. BRING IT BACK.

    I'm not a big sci-fi fan but, Surface is the best No matter how busy I was I always made time to watch every episode. This is one show that needs to be brought back!

    My 9-year-old son and I happened to stumble on the Surface just this year on the re-runs and we are both very disappointed that it only made thru first season. WE are bog fans of the Stargate and that is canceled too. Some people mentioned Lost-- Lost had me lost, it felt like too complex to follow. Maybe Surface was too simple for the critics, but it sure made sense.     The intellectual standard must not always be met to deliver an entertaining piece. This show, it one such case. While diverting from plausibility at times each episode is consistently entertaining with a charismatic leading cast.     I loved this show..and never missed a single episode at all...I wish that they would have kept this show on the air. I think its time for a network that will show nothing but canceled shows that audiences enjoy.

    Once this E.T was closely encountered, it showed jaws. But nevertheless, this multiple Spielberg-ripoff works. And is easily more enjoyable than its competitor "Threshold", which is an insult to an audience who likes the science in science fiction.

    I like it. It's the best thing that's happened to network TV in a long time. Up until now, I've had to limit myself to cable channels to watch anything decent, especially Sci-Fi (Stargate, Battlestar, etc) so it's nice to see some quality TV from the networks.

It's in how you spin it. As for Miles, I'm waiting for he and Nimrod to meet up with either the government agent or Laura. Odds are Nirmod recovered from the gunshot.     This show is pretty sweet. It get's a little cheesy at times and may be drwan out too long and therefore become anticlimactic. However, I can't stop watching it and I can't wait to see what happens next.

    Since the X-files series wrapped, there has been no good SciFi on the tube. SURFACE seems to be a cross between Jaws and E.T. and has several likeable characters. It can be slow evolving at times, but I rank it better than INVASION but less cerebral than THRESHOLD, having more of a fantasy feel than a thriller. I have gone out of my way to follow this show.

    I love the show. It can get boring but i love it. The actors are great and the carter jenkins is a great actor and cute. I LOVE HIM! I want to see more. Its the only thing on Monday nights anyway.

    Some of the absolute worst garbage I've ever seen foisted on the public as "science fiction." The idea of ancient giant reptilian seamonsters threatening the world isn't the worst idea, but everything about the rest of the show is just flat awful. Of COURSE the government is killing people to cover up something that obviously can't be kept covered up. Of COURSE there's a couple plucky people who manage, against all odds, to find proof of the seamonsters. Of COURSE a kid finds an egg from of one of these creatures and *GASP* forms a special bond with it. Etc. etc. etc. The only things more cliche than the lines are the characters (evil government man running the cover up, outcast kid hiding a mysterious creature from everybody, blah blah blah) and virtually every line of dialogue is clunky and unconvincing. The special effects are also obscenely substandard for this day and age, even for a TV miniseries, with heavy use of dark, murky underwater shots to gloss over obviously cheap computer effects. I'm not a big fan of Spielberg, but comparing this show to pretty much ANYTHING he's ever made would be a complete insult to him. If there was any justice, the very next episode would end the series, culminating in the destruction of the world of such stupid, shallow characters.… Expand

    Surface had me at nim. This is such a great show for all ages. It's fun; exciting; thrilling and any other wonderful thing that can be said. I am anixously awaiting the second season. So NBC hear us!! We want Surface back.

    i think that SURFACE was the best show on tv when it was on. i really hope it ill be on for a second season, it would be terrible if it just stopped and we couldn't watch any more of the awesome tv show. SO HOPEFULLY YOU GUYS CAN GET THIS TV SHOW UP FOR A SECOND SEASON

    This is the best show that NBC has put out in years. It has captured the limited attention span of my wife (not a scifi fan), three sons (ages 13, 12 and 12), and me (a young baby boomer). NBC has got to get its act together!!!

    Surface was the only show that ws different from, doctors, investigators, lawyers & reality shows. Nimrod is endearing and watching his responses to being with Miles...the two love eachother. I and all my friends, including those on the internet love Nimrod and wnt him back.

    This is a GREAT show and I don't care what critics say. 1st of all they have been know to be wrong MANY TIMES and we're going to base decisions solely on 39 individuals. I think you should let the views decide, obviously you can clearly see that there is a loyal following and it's growing.     I agree with others - this is a breath of fresh air from the reality shows medical and lawyer shows. I love Lost and I put this up there with Lost because they are the only 2 shows that I look forward to watching. NBC PLEASE BRING BACK A 2nd SEASON!!!

    We watched as a family. My kids and I loved the show. We could not wait for the next week. I was interesting and different. Everything on the tv today is about murder, law, sex, and being gay. I am not against this totally. However, it was nice to actually have a plot that was new....I did not have to keep telling my kids to close their eyes...

    Although the storyline is a bit of a reach, that is what makes this show stand apart. The actors and drama in each episode keep the suspense level up enough to justify staying up past bed time to find out what happens next.

    I just viewed the SciFi channel's marathon of 7 episodes from season 1. I thought the show was outstanding and kept me on the edge of my seat. Maybe SciFi will pick it up and continue this intruiging story!

    This show had more surprises than "Lost," and is actually based on real science. This type of speculation about the impact of science and technology on nature is the best of the science fiction genre. Surface is a fast pace drama that offers food for thought.
