    I loved this show.....figures they would cancel it. I thought it to be one of the best shows on TV. Well..it's not the first tike the jerks that run the networks canceled great shows.

    I think that critics look too hard for what's wrong, instead of giving it a chance first. all of my family and friends loved this show, and were disappointed when it was canned. what a shame. i still hold out hope. the plot has a lot of potential, the effects are good, and the characters are genuine people you root for.

    great show... moving plot, doesn't cheat me with cheap cliff-hangers... the plot and plot tension between episodes are legitimate to the story... they do an excellent job of suspending reality and nothing ever happens that makes me say "wait, that's not consistent with what happened earlier" hope we have a season 2

    I love this show. I can't believe it's being cancelled. I used to laugh when Jay Leno makes fun of NBC BIg Wigs on why their ratings are bad. Now I agree. What's wrong with this show? It was exciting, had a great plot, focused on current environmental issues. The characters were normal everyday people. I can only hope that another network picks it up..     I love this Show; every week my 5 kids and I would sit in the living room just to see what was going to happened that week... and that's rare..It unique; exciting; you laugh you cry it all in one. It's not the same old boring shows & plots they give every week... We want more....you guys are awesome ;finally something we look forward to seeing....Thank You; Denise & my kids

    This show is the best show EVER. I never knew they canceled it, i haven't seen anything on it. Me, my mom, and dad watched every week. And the way they ended the first season, i was really looking forward to the second season, I can' t believe the canceled it, it rocked.

    They cancel a show because the reviewers say "they did not like it" but they'll keep reality crap on TV that make normal people hate their lives. Good Job you dumb jerks. My whole family loved the show which is rare

    I love this show. I can't wait for the next season. Please bring this show back. You can' just leave us hanging on the roof of a building surrounded by water. Can I have a small version of the creature, like the boy has.

    My whole family has been waiting for surface to come back in the fall. I can't believe it was cancelled. It was one show we could all watch together. I sure hope someone else picks it up!

    This was a very enjoyable Sci-fi. It may not have been feasible, but it sure makes you wonder what the human race is doing to its own environment!! Hey, if it had been a reality show it would have lasted, they should have eaten bugs or maybe walked a tight rope over the creatures. Well maybe fear factor can do that one! Get rid of the 15 minute famers and get back to some teeth sinking shows!!!

    Wonderful SciFi is hard to come by. This show had something a family could enjoy together. Maybe the SciFi channel will pick it up.

    Show got better as it went along; the characters got more interestin.; Hopefully SciFi chanel will pick it up as the suits at NBC haven't got the brains to continue it. No wonder they are lagging in the ratings war.

    Critic's never cease to amaze me in their utter ignorance. And it also never ceases to amaze me when really GOOD shows get canceled, like this one. NBC should be ashamed of itself and the critics who gave this a bad review should be fired. I found this show brilliant, engaging, well-acted, fabulously cast, gung ho, straight edge sci-fi BLISS. I'm guessing it was simply TOO smart Critic's never cease to amaze me in their utter ignorance. And it also never ceases to amaze me when really GOOD shows get canceled, like this one.     In spite of the rare negative comments given by the sour grapes whose opinions of bad acting and plot lines stem from their own inadequate and jeolous lives, I found Surface to be refreshing, captivating and inventive. When I heard it was not going to return to NBC, I was very dissapointed, to say the least. What idiot made that decision, and can he/she be fired? Bring Surface Back!!!

    Unique and interesting. The networks no longer give a show a chance. They run a couple of episodes these days and then cancel the show. This show needs to be given a second chance.

    Although the storyline is a bit of a reach, that is what makes this show stand apart. The actors and drama in each episode keep the suspense level up enough to justify staying up past bed time to find out what happens next.

    I find this sho is great, it have suspense and is very interesting. I think NBC should bring back the second season. I dont understand why people will spect a Scienc fiction, pay attention to the last word fiction would be believable.

    We watched as a family. My kids and I loved the show. We could not wait for the next week. I was interesting and different. Everything on the tv today is about murder, law, sex, and being gay. I am not against this totally. However, it was nice to actually have a plot that was new....I did not have to keep telling my kids to close their eyes...

    I agree with others - this is a breath of fresh air from the reality shows medical and lawyer shows. I love Lost and I put this up there with Lost because they are the only 2 shows that I look forward to watching. NBC PLEASE BRING BACK A 2nd SEASON!!!

    This is a GREAT show and I don't care what critics say. 1st of all they have been know to be wrong MANY TIMES and we're going to base decisions solely on 39 individuals. I think you should let the views decide, obviously you can clearly see that there is a loyal following and it's growing.     Surface was the only show that ws different from, doctors, investigators, lawyers & reality shows. Nimrod is endearing and watching his responses to being with Miles...the two love eachother. I and all my friends, including those on the internet love Nimrod and wnt him back.

    This is the best show that NBC has put out in years. It has captured the limited attention span of my wife (not a scifi fan), three sons (ages 13, 12 and 12), and me (a young baby boomer). NBC has got to get its act together!!!

    My family all love it . One of the best shows ever . Myles and Nim were truly the stars . Hope it comes back because I know we will be desperately waiting for another season.

    i think that SURFACE was the best show on tv when it was on. i really hope it ill be on for a second season, it would be terrible if it just stopped and we couldn't watch any more of the awesome tv show. SO HOPEFULLY YOU GUYS CAN GET THIS TV SHOW UP FOR A SECOND SEASON

    Fantastic Show which caught my eye considering i rarely watch TV, however i have trouble finding it again as the last two times it has been on a different times and this week it is on neither of the previously times and seem to have disappeared altogether. When the bloody hell is it on again please!

    It started of slow and fairly corny but then grew into this amazing story that kept us guessing. The last episode was truely on of the best things I've ever seen on TV, I'm still trying to get my heart rate back down. Here's hoping for season 2 and a DVD release soon.

    Surface had me at nim. This is such a great show for all ages. It's fun; exciting; thrilling and any other wonderful thing that can be said. I am anixously awaiting the second season. So NBC hear us!! We want Surface back.

    I have been waiting and waiting to catch this show since I first saw the trailer for the beginning of it, but I didn't catch it until now! I've only seen on episode, well into the season and have no idea what's going on, but I am absolutely completely hooked! Brilliant show, and I love the creatures!

    Surface is... misterious, appealing, exciting. A good mix of Sci-fi and drama, it really appeals an audience that is widely ignored by most commercial free TV. I offer Two Toes way UP!

    Ignore the know-it all, seen-it-all critics and professional cynics. "Surface" has great storytelling and is consistently well acted and written. This is a great deep sea mystery/conspiracy yarn that maintains multiple suspenseful storylines with just the right mix of action and human drama. Lake Bell is (surprise!) terrific.

    Love the show. Look forward to each new episode. Beats the hell out of "reality shows". The critics take all the fun out of story telling. They get too artsy fartsy and don't just take things for what they are. I think this is great entertainment! Hope it stays on for as long as possible.

    Suckage. If you want good sci-fi, watch Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and/or Battlestar Galactica. On Sci-Fi channel 122 (satellite). New episodes every Friday. Watch it. The Neilson meter will look good if you do.

    Some of the absolute worst garbage I've ever seen foisted on the public as "science fiction." The idea of ancient giant reptilian seamonsters threatening the world isn't the worst idea, but everything about the rest of the show is just flat awful. Of COURSE the government is killing people to cover up something that obviously can't be kept covered up. Of COURSE there's a couple plucky people who manage, against all odds, to find proof of the seamonsters. Of COURSE a kid finds an egg from of one of these creatures and *GASP* forms a special bond with it. Etc. etc. etc. The only things more cliche than the lines are the characters (evil government man running the cover up, outcast kid hiding a mysterious creature from everybody, blah blah blah) and virtually every line of dialogue is clunky and unconvincing. The special effects are also obscenely substandard for this day and age, even for a TV miniseries, with heavy use of dark, murky underwater shots to gloss over obviously cheap computer effects. I'm not a big fan of Spielberg, but comparing this show to pretty much ANYTHING he's ever made would be a complete insult to him. If there was any justice, the very next episode would end the series, culminating in the destruction of the world of such stupid, shallow characters.… Expand

    What do the critics know? Of course it's far fetched and at times, most of the time, unbelievable, after all it's Sci-fi! I recommend it, it's a good watch for the entire family.

    Great effects. Story line interesting but takes place in too many places. The submarine construction never would work esp at that depth. Savannah is hot like to see her in a more steamy scene. Very good but needs refining....Get rid of the attraction to holes and spinning water...corny

    There's essentially three different story lines working at all times on this show. (1) the government cover-up, (2) the sexy protagonist & pal trying to figure out what's going on, and (3) the teenager who adopts an infant creature. Although #3 is a stinker, #1 and #2 are very good. I highly recommend it!

    The actors on this show have lost the will to act. The raft scenes had me slack jawed in amazment at the bad acting. Good story aside from the stupid owner love pet aspect. VFX slipping alongside the acting.

It's in how you spin it. As for Miles, I'm waiting for he and Nimrod to meet up with either the government agent or Laura. Odds are Nirmod recovered from the gunshot.
