I haven't laughed this hard since power watching all three seasons of Blue Mountain State on Netflix.

Anyone who has ever worked retail needs to watch this show! Each character has some traits of people I've worked with during my tenure at Target. Personally, I'm a combination of Garrett (light skinned black guy) and Mateo (gay Filipino guy).

I imagined a show like this during my time at the customer service desk at Target. Dealing with frustrating customers and the clashes in personality of my co-workers (Target Team Mates). It captures the mundane task of restocking shelves and helping indecisive customers choose which product they like. The original stories they come up with are amazing. Much like Seinfeld, this is a show about nothing.

The best part of this show is that each episode is only 22 minutes long and that keeps the quality of the comedy fresh and fast paced. I'm disappointed there were only 11 episodes but this show is all about quality over quantity. I can't wait for season 2!

Thank you NBC for advertising this show while my face was glued to the TV during the Olympics. This show is not to be missed by anyone who's ever worked retail. Finally, someone came up with the bright idea to make a show about how frustrating retail work can be!

A good enough show but no that great yet. It is funny at times but not as funny as I hoped. The cast gave funny and fantastic performances especially America Ferrera, Lauren Ash, Ben Feldman, Colton Dunn, Mark McKinney, Nichole Bloom, and Nico Santos.

This might be the first new NBC sitcom in a while to really work for me. I like the characters and the setting. I think they've done a good job with the jokes, and through three episodes it's held my attention. This has the potential to stick for NBC.

Anyone working in retail will relate to this show. Superstore is one of the most funniest shows on t.v. today. The in between scenes of what the customers are doing in the background are hilarious. This show deserves a much higher rating than 57. Every character works well together to form a perfect comedic relationship. Superstore is not to be missed.

As someone who has worked many years in retail, I wanted to like this show. However, after watching the first season, I could not sit through one more episode. This show's potential is diminished by the toxic amount of political correctness cheaply disguised as comedy. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The docu-comedy doesn't work for this show. I wish they'd stop trying to do it. I had hope for this show, though it fell flat. But seeing as how it was developed by someone from the Office (a show NBC just kept shoving down everyone's throats until we liked it or not), I shouldn't have expected even that much. The jokes, if you can call them that, barely exist. They need life support. For example, the one about Ben Feldman getting hired and the girl says it's good he's american, is the wrong joke. It shouldn't have been: "You're American, so that's good (insert laugh here). It should have been: "You're American? Well, I guess we won't hold that against you....... YET."; as so many of the people in a job like that are foreigners, and management considers that good.

The cast is okay. The story lines were boring. People wouldn't care if they made it in a magazine that inconsequential. The store manager should be written like a villain; like Gary Cole in Office Space. And his hair was better grey than colored like the second episode. A character of that type of "pathetic" probably wouldn't color his hair (or at least not that well). The psycho security chick is okay. She should get better. America needs some quirks to make her interesting. And Ben Feldman, if he's going to be the resident closet womanizer, needs a bit more Sam Malone in him. The other characters are very forgettable.

I wanted to like this show, but I couldn't. I gave it a 1, because each of the two episodes I watched had exactly 1 joke I laughed at. This show debuted around the same time as Eva Longoria's Telenovela. I'm sure network execs are banking on the success of the later but Superstore is a much funnier show. Of course NBC is giving Telenovela the full run while only ordering limited episodes of Superstore. Just another in a series of boneheaded decisions by this network (I refer you to The Mysteries of Laura)

While it borrows parts and character archetypes from other, more important sitcoms like The Office and Parks & Recreation, the show manages to stand on its own due to the sheer strength of its humor alone. Never really found "ugly betty" or the actress playing her as appealing and didn't see myself liking a show with her in it. But she shines in this as does Ben Feldman and Mark McKinney. A great series. If you like Brooklyn nine nine you owe it to yourself to give this 5 episodes to hook you in.

This is actually not terrible and has some pretty good jokes in it. Mark McKinney is really good in it. I like how the two main characters are kind of snobby and get made fun of instead of being treated as perfect.
I appreciate that they went the traditional route - no confessionals, no flashbacks, no fourth wall breaking.

And even the characters that seemed the most cartoonish at first have been given increasing depth without losing the basic characteristics they began with.

I like this series more with each passing year. And I don't say that about a lot of shows.

Quirky and low budget but it does have a charm that makes it a watchable experience. I’ve always had a knack for Justin Spitzer’s style of comedy, The Office was a blast. When Superstore started airing, I knew I was in for a good time of which the show didn’t let me down. The beauty of comedy in banal routine activities of our lives is archetypal. The serenity of the setting and the use of the color Blue is alluring. The characters are ever sensational and stellar.

Just discovered this show and have been binge watching ever since......so funny, poignant and believable, I just love it. Having worked in retail I can totally relate to the situations, Glen and Dina the store manager and assistant manager are a delight, and the rest of the cast compliment brilliantly........lets hope there will be many more series

This is the best comedy series in the world. There is such an amazing acting game that you believe these heroes, you live their lives. I hope this series will exist for many more seasons.

If you have worked in a lot of retail in general( not just superstores.) you will LOVE this show!! I really do not understand why the rating is so bad on here... Google ratings are 96% positive!
All in all this show is hilarious! It just seems to get better and better by the season although S1 has my favorite episode. If you do not think this show is funny you have a bad sense of humor! Like I have said before. I have watched every episode over a dozen times and I am still laughing at every episode! Every show has a couple ups and downs though and there are a couple of dry episodes like the Emmy Awards episode was disappointing to me. This show stays funny in the store and they should stick to that. So far the only episodes I have not liked as much are the ones that go outside the store. Like anytime their doing home drama with Amy mainly. I love the chick but pretty sure everyone is sick of hearing how depressing her life unless their joking about it! lmao

Please do yourself a favor and watch this show especially if you have done retail in your life!!!!!

    Story: 3
The story may be interesting for a comedy the setting is something a lot of peopel could relate to. However the hole thing is very chsritian as typicla for american filmindsutry, a mean to propagate their christian culture. Throught the whole show there various instances wher eit gets very christian actually the manager himself is supposed to be a hardcore christian. However they present them as harmelss and let him do stuff which no Christain woudl actualyl do instea dtehy would burn the people. There comes the next issue, they portray bullieing, racisms and sexism as something funny, and sensivity as something which should not be taken serious. I asume the person did never work, a work environemnt is nothing like this show insuslts from superiors etc such as "slut" are not funny. This is the next issue the whoel power abuse, social situation is made fun of and the conculsions are often that the store is write the american system is great, and I asked myself did they get payed by teh stores to do this show??? Propably like from the church.
Also the typicla american thing where the only native american hawaien is portrayed as a dumb person who is bullied is realy disgusting cosndiering that the heads are chrsitians whcih burned and killed billions of people millione opf natives. The whoel cast does not reflect any store btw, since I know peopel who work in such store.
So why did I watch it even though it is a pile of garbage payed by the Christian Financial lobby of America?

Becaue there were small scenes which I could love, 1 scene every two episodes which actually could reflect are work scenes, these scenes were typical really based on the store and not on racisms, sexisms or propmotion of american christian coroporate abusive system.

The characters: They act okay. Some times the main chara wears to much make up, one can see it at his skin.

All together I recommend this show if you are bored and look for maybe one laughter and you do not knwo what tow atch because every show is filled with almost the same ****

I’m hoping Superstore lasts long enough that its writers begin to feel less reliant on jokey situations and trust that there’s more than enough organic humor to be found just by letting their characters live in the peculiar, seldom-seen world they’ve created.

[Justin Spitzer] keeps things fairly silly but does show a willingness to explore that most vexing of 21st-century problems: What is appropriate on-the-job behavior.
