I really thought this show would be good. But it turns out all CW DC shows are **** Every superman fight scene is the same & not funny childish jokes & the same stupidity that every CW DC show has.

Especially since I enjoyed Taylor Hoechlin's Superman on the Arrow & Flash shows. But "Superman & Lois" seems far more interested in wrangling itself into a CW farm family drama with a focus on sappy relationship drama and Superman just, ya know, not understanding his kids, man. BTW: The very idea that Superman would have twin teenage kids and neither of them know their dad is Superman is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, we've joked for a century about how silly it is that his co-workers at the Daily Planet don't know he's Superman, but now even his own children are fooled. Okay. I will say all the main acting was good. Otherwise, it was just your typical CW show but, oh also the dad is Superman. Expand

So what is that? When it comes to the show, I would rather see the show with Dean Kain.
The story is gritty and everything is consistently badly cast.

Boring family drama. What is the point of making a Superman show if you're going to make it so boring.

Given that it was developed by the CW and strongly tied to The Flash and Supergirl - which have been mediocre at best - I didn't have high hopes. But the writing, acting, story, and special effects have all been excellent. This isn't sappy or goofy, like the other CW super-shows, it's solid and really engaging so far. The characters and relationships feel genuine, there's a darker edge for the plot, and feels more like a quality, serious movie rather than like a kids' TV show. Really love it so far. Expand

The episode gave me a warm feeling about Superman and Lois, and put the couple into very realistic family struggles that no superpower can solve, in fact Superman’s powers turn out to be more of a hindrance. In other words he has to do what we do when we have family issues, work for it. I hope the show continues to strive to entertain me instead of beating me down with polarising political and social issues, issues I want to escape from when I watch a comic book show. If I can feel entertained after each episode then the creators have done a great job in my opinion, WELL DONE! Expand

Watching it last night, this show was able to do what the recent Superman movies have failed to do, show Superman as a beacon of hope. It was also pretty much devoid of politics, which is very refreshing, since the modern politics angle nowadays in most other shows has been played out to a nauseating level.

Watching what is happening at Disney/Lucasfilm/Marvel, I think CW/WB/DC have a real chance to do something special and refreshing with this show that will really standout out in a positive way in modern media.

Take two boring characters and make them even more boring by giving them two annoying teenagers. Superman & Lois tries to be Friday Night Lights with superheroes but is instead the worst of This is Us.

Show was okay - I expected more and received less in terms of a viewing experience. To me its not any better than any other superhero show on the television set. Just expecting a little more from the man of steel.

Every time I'm amazed how they've worked around budgetary restraints to achieve something pretty good looking at the end.

Actors are doing a much better job than I originally expected especially from Superman. I've never liked him in the role till this series. I love the tonal shift from other Arrowverse shows. It's more mature and it fits well. The kids are a hit and miss in their writing, a bit unbalanced in their behavior, but I do love Super dad acting. Have all the power in the world and then just sigh and give up cause teenagers. It's a pretty solid show.

The acting is consistently great, even from the younger actors, which is rare. The effects, while sometimes lacking, are better than any other CW show and manage to be convincing where it counts. They make you care for the characters who are not the main family, while still balancing everyone's storylines very well. There have also been some fantastic twists - the level of suspense and drama they manage to create is impressive! You get fantastic character moments for both general audiences, and things that only long-time fans will notice! Expand

Superman & Lois is one of the few Arrowverse series that focuses on what it is supposed to be about. The superhero and his family. Sadly other Arrowverse shows have forgotten to remain focused on what they are about.

It feels like the continuation of Smallville with different characters with an interesting take on Superman and Lois as parents. As a father, I think the show does a good job at portraying parenthood with Superman and Lois being firm when needed, not letting their teenage sons boss them around while showing that parents are not perfect and also make mistakes. Characters: Superman gets a 9. He is obviously the main and best character by far and without him, there is no show. He is a great example of what being a man is. He is strong, warm-hearted, self-sacrificing, usually in control of his emotions, and takes his responsibility seriously. The actor Taylor Hoechlin is the best Superman after Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Superman vs Batman, Justice League).

Lois gets a 5. Even though her name is in the title of the show she is a side character and thank God for that because she is a bit annoying (but not too much). Erica Durance from Smallville is definitely better looking and does a better role.

Jordan and Jon Kent get 8s. The actors do an excellent job at portraying good-hearted teenagers and definitely add to the show. The show also does an excellent job at showing why they do the things they do. Lana gets a 7.5. It's just great to see the character again.
