Simply amazing again. Big compliments to the writers and creators of the show. It's insane how all the actors are at their best and deliver. Will be missing this show a lot once it's over!

It's starting to feel very repetitive, with characters that have become far too caricatural. The only one interesting is Tom, but he's been reduced to his worse falsetto voice. The jerky camera work is as nauseating as Roman's childish swearwords. And the corporate intrigue has been relegated to the most simplistic iterations that make auction sales at a wet market far more intriguing ...It's starting to feel very repetitive, with characters that have become far too caricatural. What a disappointment, Succession decided to "go woke." Calling the fascist President Mencken. Wow, the writers learned so much in college! Now I guess they can go home and feel like they made a difference in the world. A show that was once great and Shakespearian turned into Mr. Rogers Neighborhood by a bunch of over-coddled and under-educated writers. Should I say -- Sad !

A brilliant ending on (arguably) TV's best show ever. Jesse and his team really know what to do, he's in control. The cast, once again is heavily inspired, Brian, Jeremy, Sarah, Kieran and Matthew are brutal, insanely funny and deadly vulnerable. The writing is sharper than ever and it reaffirms why Succession is on a higher pedestal than any show in the actual days. Succession's finalA brilliant ending on (arguably) TV's best show ever. Succession's final season is a masterpiece, untouchable, and it remembers us that if Shakespeare was alive, he would've been writing Succession. Expand

With Better Call Saul finishing last year, Succession became the best show on TV by default. But it keeps getting even better.

Solid season so far. Not sure if I love it quite as much as prior seasons. Regardless, the series is stil on top.

If you haven’t been watching this show, I’m actually jealous of you, because you have such a treat waiting for you. It’s the best show on tv, and one of the best shows ever.

Some of the most contrived nonsense that flies in the face of all logic. This destroys the first two seasons of this show retroactively. It is the S8 of Game of Thrones. HBO really needs to get better producers, as none of their shows can be trusted with two of these now.

Its been such a wild ride watching the dysfunctional 1% lie, cheat ,cuss shouldn't be this entertaining but under the guide of Armstrong and Mylord is tended into an emotional epic that hinges on you caring for the worst people ever. Stacked with a myriad of definitive episodes it feels difficult to imagine how the academy would even begin to choose which to higlight for attention. Same with the now crowded "Best Actor " category that's overflowing with deserving nominees. Its always great when a show has a grasp of what it does best and what it shouldn't be. That final episode was a masterpiece! Undoubtedly the shows best season and amongst the best final seasons ever. Expand

About as good as it gets. The thick of it with added Wagnerian emotion. Technically flawless, and masterful in how its bringing all its strands from previous seasons to fruition.

This season had a very high bar, and somehow it's even better than I had hoped. Shocking twists, amazing character moments, just the best show on tv.

This is easily one of the best shows ever made and sadly it will never reach the pop Icon status of Game of Thrones but Succession showed how to do a final season while killing off main chars.

One of the best shows ever, period. Flawless in every aspect: script, acting, production. The Logans are despicable people, but you end up rooting for them in a way, although there's always the feeling that things can't end well with this lot. Very satisfying up to the very end, feels short but it's perfect throughout all four seasons.

Would totally recommend to others!! Only on season two and it’s already captivating, the characters are extremely multi dimensional and well written. Genuinely can’t wait to see the ending!

When writing is the most important part of a show you know you are in for a treat, plus having an assemble of actors who seem to relish the lines they have to deliver and you have a winning combination. The final season wraps up the interminable question: who will take on the leadership of Waystar out of group of losers and misfits that comprise Logan Roy's children.

    I loved the final

I loved the final season but I would have liked it to be shorter and more focused. We know they are horrid, but every episode felt like each player was making a pitch to be the next king and it quite repetitive. That aside: appointment TV.

Rest assured that Succession is as magnificent as ever: a bravura television opera whose supple script, stealthy plotting and lurching twists provide all the mood music you need.

Succession’s final season starts spectacularly strong, with equal parts high-stakes drama and laugh-out-loud comedy. Powerhouse performances from the Roy clan offer a dazzling masterclass of buttoned-up emotions competing with years of desperately craving approval from the family patriarch.

Going out with a bang. ... The blue-chip Succession is especially strong, as hilariously vicious as ever, with the Roy media family imploding amid a flurry of betrayals, back-channel deal-making, and cruel manipulations. [10 - 23 Apr 2023, p.6]
