It’s a pretty accurate portrait of the capital’s ongoing housing crisis, where no amount of agent bullshit can hide the fact that a horrid hole costs stupid money. Those – along with the characters and performances – are the ticks, the “it’s not too far to the tube”, and “it has a nice feel to it”. Nice observations in the writing, too. ... But then there’s the damp – the fact it only goes somewhere new geographically, rather comedically. And the pokiness – the heavy reliance on physical comedy.

The first episode may have been a bit of a fixer-upper opportunity, with a bit more of that satirical edge Stath Lets Flats could develop into a very sought-after property indeed.

Some lines fell flat and to enjoy this show you have to have a high tolerance for slapstick. ... It's early days and the laughs may not sustain a whole series, but it looks promising.
