    This fourth season of SG-1 is less impressive than the second and the third. But it hasn't lost it's mojo yet, it's still an impressive sci-fi show with much action and spectacular events.

    The average score for each episode is: 7.90

    Season 4 is so far my favourite. It has many strong episode and less weaker ones than previous seasons, made a lot of interesting developments lore and character wise atop of great humour. A strength of the show is the set up of characters and arcs. Many things will be build up and have impacts or developments in later seasons or were prepared in previous seasons to unfold. I like theSeason 4 is so far my favourite. It has many strong episode and less weaker ones than previous seasons, made a lot of interesting developments lore and character wise atop of great humour. A strength of the show is the set up of characters and arcs. Many things will be build up and have impacts or developments in later seasons or were prepared in previous seasons to unfold. I like the replicators arcs and compared them to the Borg from Star Trek. Also Apophis has the survivability of a cockroach and is such a great villain like nearly all Goa’uld. The Tok’ra and an opposing Earth group add also a lot to my enjoyment. I continue with my favourite episodes before my final rating. “Small Victories” is a great follow up from last season. Great menace, political mess and good set up for later things. “The other Side” first looks generic but when you grasp the whole situation it is an awesome dilemma. Also a guest appearance from one of my favorite Star Trek characters. I am a bit vague here to avoid spoilers. “Upgrades” for the idea, humour, character of Anise / Freya and conclusion. A favourite of the show for me. “Window of Opportunity” is the mandatory time loop episode each science fiction franchise has to do. It is however one of the best with great humour and entertainment. Again a favourite of the show. “Watergate” for the nice word play of the title, set up, idea and conclusion. “Point of no Return” for the mystery, the character Martin Lloyd and story. Surprised me well and is a good example for subverting expectation done right. Yes I admit that the “The last Jedi” made it look like always being a bad thing but good examples exist too. “The Serpents Venom” set up things to come nicely and made me want to see the fallout of this. “Chain Reaction” for the situation, both menaces, a reoccurring character and story that is a cumulation from previous seasons. “2010” is a nice idea and set in a possible future. “Absolute Power” is a nice scenario and Daniel Jackson episode. Also it answers some questions that fans had. “Entity” is a great cat and mouse game with an interesting menace. I see “Double Jeopardy” as part truly awesome and kind of missed opportunity. I would like to see more of this set up. Again I am sorry for being vague to avoid spoilers here. “Exodus” is a nice season final but the cumulation next season is even better. Overall this is my favourite season so far as it has many must see episodes, great humour and developments that paid off and will pay off.… Expand
