    The adventure of SG-1 continues, with thrilling and fascinating events.

    I thought the previous season was incredible and entertaining to watch, but this third season got it all, from wonderful stories to spectacular action at a high tempo. It might got some less interesting episodes, but it still deserves a 9. Truly one of the greatest sci-fi shows of all time!     While season 3 is really good it is also not my favorite. I hesitate to use the word underwhelming and will say instead it has less great episodes than the previous season. To clarify: There are truly awesome episodes but the rest reaches not this level while not being weak. This seasons gives us the Replicators who I consider the Borg equivalent in Stargate, the Harcesis, a rouge group, aWhile season 3 is really good it is also not my favorite. I hesitate to use the word underwhelming and will say instead it has less great episodes than the previous season. To clarify: There are truly awesome episodes but the rest reaches not this level while not being weak. This seasons gives us the Replicators who I consider the Borg equivalent in Stargate, the Harcesis, a rouge group, a return of a character even more durable than cockroaches, one of my favorite trials and an interesting bounty hunter. It was more than enough to keep me going and remain a fan of the show. Lore wise they extended their universe with new characters, new idea, improved knowledge and developments. I repeat my statement from previous review that we thought it becomes as big as Start Trek with lore that can one day rival Star Wars. Lets continue with my favorite episodes: “Into the fire” is a great conclusion to the cliffhanger from the last season final. “Fair Game” is a fun game of schemes and plots that gives a bit more insight into the Goa’uld system lords. “Deadman Switch” gives us a great character with the bounty hunter and interesting dilemma. Sadly they use this character never again which is a wasted opportunity. “Jolinar’s Memories” and “The Devil you know” have a great story, harsh mission, return of a favorite character and a great conclusion that makes you await the things that will come out of it. “Pretense” is one of my favorite episode of the show. The idea and set up alone are amazing but the execution, dilemma and resolve make it even better. I am hard pressed to tell more but want also not to spoil anything. I like the episode “Urgo” for the titular character but I am also not sure if I should rate it as guilty pleasure. Also Urgo and his father were never used again which is also a wasted opportunity. The season final “Nemesis” gives a new enemy far more dangerous than anything before. Strong set up, menaces and story. They will use this thread again as it is too good to be not used again. Overall there are a lot strong episodes but also many I find good but unremarkable. I give an 8/10.… Expand
