I'm finding it hard to get into this series. the overly silly/jokey tone is becoming very annoying. There aren't any compelling villains. Omega's accent is irritating beyond words. The Batch themselves are one-dimensional cartoons lacking in depth or interest. Too silly and childish for me. Moments of gravitas are constantly ruined with stupid humour and bicker-banter.I'm finding it hard to get into this series. the overly silly/jokey tone is becoming very annoying. It might have a bit too much filler or slice of life episode but towards the end it gets amazingly good. I like the characters and the first season was good enough that I continued. The second season deals with loss, the fate of the now seemingly obsolete clones, the beginnings of the cruelty of the reign of the empire and the set up of a secret project. I like the characters and the first season was good enough that I continued. The second season deals with loss, the fate of the now seemingly obsolete clones, the beginnings of the cruelty of the reign of the empire and the set up of a secret project. I am vague here to avoid spoilers so sorry for not going into details. I like the character arcs, their developments and overall stories. Like I said the first half is more slice of life which I like but not too much. The later half I would consider excellent with some must see episodes for Star Wars fans. The old and new characters work well and we get a few familiar faces that return. The presentation is really good. Animation and soundtrack defiler and the voice actors are excellent. Lets go to my favorite episodes before the final rating: “The Solitary Clone” is Crosshairs story, brings back a familiar face, foreshadows what the empire will become and what this does to the clones. I consider “The Clone Conspiracy” and “Truth and Consequences” as must see two parter. Great story that channels the Clone Wars show, cat and mouse games and an ending that is impressing. “Metamorphosis” brings back one of my favorites that I wont spoil. They continue a Clone Wars arc that I waited for. “The Outpost” is again a Crosshair episode and this will hit him hard and have dire consequences. “The Summit” and “Plan 99” deliver an epic final that is as breathtaking as impactful. Overall this was a good season. The great episode increase my rating to an 8/10 even if there are too much episodes that do not reach this level. Will watch season 3 for sure. Expand

Respawn has shown us, and EA, that single player games are well enough alive and kicking and has set a bright future for the Star Wars franchise of videogames if they keep this up.

The value of The Bad Batch as a series really lies in how it illuminates the era the story takes place in on the Star Wars canon timeline. The mission-to-mission arcs, meanwhile, are fun, although at times a little repetitive. But the animation and production quality are once again top-notch, and The Bad Batch Season 2 is a great way to kick off 2023 for Star Wars fans.

Filoni and company are clearly capable of enriching concepts and characters that have been part of our popular culture for 45 years. But at its best, The Bad Batch’s second season is a frustrating reinforcement of the previous season’s problems.

As with almost any series, there are highs and lows—but Omega manages to hold things together with her drive to do right by everyone she meets, whether they’re a friend or foe or someone somewhere in between. Redemption, transformation, and metamorphosis play a large part in the latter half of the season, which, in its own way, redeems the series as a whole.
