Voyager unfortunately finishes with its weakest season with a number of storylines that don’t really pay off, and the finale is also a little untidy. It’s not completely without merit as this season does still feature some pretty good episodes, but I for one was hoping to go out on a higher note.

The final season is really good and has a satisfying conclusion. I always point this out as important because of Lost, Game of Thrones, The Rise of Skywalker and Mass Effect 3. Those ruined the experience and maybe the franchise. Again we get some good real life allegories. While it has awesome episodes the season has however some weaknesses. Again we get some good real life allegories. While it has awesome episodes the season has however some weaknesses. Chakotay is nearly a background actor (Rumours say he had some discussions with the Producers / Production Company and was demoted). Flesh and Blood” was remarkable and could be some of the best in Star Trek with a great story, moral dilemma and with Iden as one of the best one time characters. They ruined the story with one idiotic twist and poor out of character writing for Captain Janeway. Again I would have stopped her if I were there because it would be my moral duty. Then there is also the decline of Neelix but he gets a great final episode. Overall this is a worthy last season and I will add 1 point to my rating because of the conclusion and outstandingly good episodes. My recommendations are: “Imperfection” for Icheb and Seven of Nine. It is her episode and has great development. “Repression” has an intense story with great twists that I cant spoil. Definitely a highlight. “Critical Care” for a clever story with allegories to real live. Also the conclusion is great. Side note: The thing with money not spend this year will be removed for next years budget is true. “Inside Man” again for Reginald Barcaly and the idea for this episode. Another highlight. “Body and Soul” for Seven of Nine and her portrait of a certain character. The whole idea and concept of the episode are as humorous as enjoyable. “Shattered” is one of the best time travel episode in Start Trek. “Lineage” is good but maybe a bit too close to real life. Great performance from Tom, B’Elanna and the doctor. This is also true for “Repentance” which is a real life allegory. “The Void” for the concept, situation and story. Well thought out and used to full potential. “Q2” gives us a satisfying Q episode that is a continuation from a former story arc. “Author, Author” again for the doctor and moral dilemma. Nice final scene. “Friendship One” for the great twist and overall story. “Homestead” for Neelix and the conclusion. Even if he is disliked by many I enjoyed his character and say he added a lot to the show. Finally we got “Endgame” the conclusion of the show. They pull out all strengths of Star Trek to deliver an as awesome as remarkable last ride. One of the best finals in Star Trek. Expand
