Another great season and this time the Dominion conflict gets hotter. They play the long game far better than the Federation. I enjoy the political plots as much as the character development / interactions and good stories. As always I like the shades of gray and believable character motivations DS9 created. This time we get more of Weyoun who slowly became one of my favorite side characters, a lot of good Klingon episodes, the return of Kasidy Yates, Michael Eddingtons arc is excellent and the “Tribble-action” episode is one of the best in whole Star Trek if not science fiction. My favorites or recommendations are: “Apocalypse Rising” continues from the reveal at the end of last season. Again I like the Klingon culture and the task force. Odo showed also that he does not need his abilities to shine. “The Ship” for its story, situation and resolve. Showed how both side did not understand the others. “Locking for par’Mach in all the wrong places” Great episode for its humor, Quark, Worf and the whole set up. Applause for this continuation of the former story “The House of Quark”. “...Nor the Battle to the Strong”. Again something many show's would avoid. Cant spoil it but lets say you will ask yourself abut many things. “Trails and Tribble-actions”. A homage to the old “The Trouble with Tribbles” episode that has everything like an engaging story, humor and respect. A love letter to Star Trek. “Things Past”. For this great story in a flashback. A must see episode for the resolve that changes your views. “For the Uniform” The conclusion of Siskos and Eddigtons conflict and a good character study. Even while Sisko is my favorite Star Trek captain I think he should be judged for his actions here. “In Purgatorys shadow” The reveal will shock you. Also Worf and Martok as much as Garak and a character I wont spoil /name. The story is pretty engaging too. “By Infernos Light“ continues the former episode and has again a shocking reveal but I must say I should have seen this coming with analysis of a certain character. It sets up a new status quo and has an awesome final. “Doctor Bashir I Presume” A game-changer for this character and a dealing with heavy moral decisions. Special guest appearance by Robert Picardo our favorite hologram doctor ;-). “Ties of Blood and Water” Again a continuation from a former season. It has so much character moments and emotions. A remarkable and often overlooked episode. “Soldiers of the Empire” This is Worfs and Martoks episode and showed why these two are my favorite Klingons (with Gowron). I would recommend “Children of Time” as it is remarkable but the ending always makes me sad. Would skip it but not because of lack of quality (it is top notch). “Blaze of Glory” for the culmination of two characters relationship (I am vague because of spoilers). “Call to Arms”. This episodes is the point of no return. It is getting serious and has again one of the best battles in Star Trek and impacts for the next seasons. Overall this season continues the awesomeness of season 4 and is excellent. Expand
