Ive watched about 10 episodes of the third season. The first two seasons did a better job of developing the characters, but I assume that was the job of the writers to develope the characters for the rest of the series. The captain is starting to develop into a stronger leader in the third year. I wish they would give more parts to Quark. The relationship between Dax and the captain is interesting and the doctor with the engineer. The captain's second in command is all over the spectrum, strong or a sex pot or whatever. The episodes are often a copy from the Classic series vaults, and often weak. The most interesting relationship is the second in command with the security officier, who are friends, but those two work well together. I have a problem with the second in commands love interest with a religious figure on the home planet, who to me is a pervert. I dont admire hardly any of their prophet characters. The more parts they give Quark, generally the better the episode. The alien general and past commander of Deep Space Nine is a great character, as is the spy on board. They need more battle scenes with the fighting forces of the Dominion. More Romulians, or Borg, they need more action and fewer love interest episodes, which are silly and boring.… Expand
