The entusiasm and fine acting of Ron and the others are worth watching even if the storyine is bad, which it isn't

I know giving it a 10 may seem excessive, but Ron Livingston is just awesome. Whatever flaws the script may have are resolved by his fine acting skills. It's also cool to see two actors from the "Band of Brothers" series reunite on television.

I tape it so I can watch it on the weekends for tons of popcorn & have a good time. Cheaper than the movies & the acting & sets aren't half bad. Hey look, they copied these from Spanish. But I'll still watch because there is suspense, anger, rage, emotion, FUN, FUN, FUN!

I love this show. The acting is really very good and I enjoy the relationship between the 2 stars. I've missed it being on and hope the powers that be aren't going to mess with a good thing.

have you ever noticed, even with movies, "professional" critics (and i use the word professional loosely) tend to not like a lot of things that the people (who are what really matters) seems to love them? I don't even listen to critics anymore. I pay attention to what people like myself have to say. And I say this show is excellent and would be extremely sad to see it go.

I am very disappointed that the show was canceled. It was 1 of only 2 shows I looked forward to all week and Ive already started watching past episodes on myspace.

This was one of the only shows that I actually looked forward to... it was easy to get into the show with the actors involved.

I really wanted to pass on this show, but guess what? The goofy FBI agents have chemistry! That's been missing in tv land for too long, so I'm willing to ignore the retread plot lines and neat wrap ups for a few sparks.

The critics must be watching a different show, because "Standoff" it great! It was especially good for a pilot.

A standoff every week? That'll wear thin pretty fast. With such a limited premise, the show will be a bore within weeks. I doubt this makes it to the winter.

I watched the first episode and looked forward to more. But then the next few ones came and I've stopped looking forward to any more. Badly written, badly directed and just plain bad. Fox seems to love these kinds of shows (cheap?).

I love it. Very smart writing that has several layers and doesn't assume complete stupidity on the part of the audience. Acting is top-notch, and the chemistry between Livingston and DeWitt really adds. Personally, I think there are enough "straight action" 24/NCIS/Vanished/Prison Break knock-offs, and like the more human side to this, along with the light-heartedness that is allowed I love it. So you may have to suspend disbelief - after all this is TV. But, there is plenty in this show that makes it entertaining in it's own unique way. If the writing can catch up with the quality of the cast, this show could be a real winner.

Definitely worth the time watching. It is a new step for television into the hostage negotiation drama. Ron Livingston is entertaining in his step into drama. Forget the critics watch it for an edge of your seat drama thrill ride.

An awkward pairing of adult relationship drama and procedural cop show, "Standoff" bombs on both counts.
