    This show had some pretty good moments, and some enjoyable episodes in the first couple of seasons, but the thing that really brought it down was mostly the human characters. I don't have a problem with there being human characters in the Sonic universe, but this show was a lot like those movies where it's supposed to be about an animated character, but it focuses more on the live actionThis show had some pretty good moments, and some enjoyable episodes in the first couple of seasons, but the thing that really brought it down was mostly the human characters.     Wow. I thought this would get a ton more haters. XD Lets get started. Try the Japanese voice acting.

    Sonic X wasn't that bad. I liked it. I had the privelige of Hulu's subbed version so it was made a lot better. I honestly cried at episode 39. And I never cry watching stuff. Sonic is as as usual, which I love. Whoever voiced Amy in the japanese version deseverd a medal. But the only    Wow. I thought this would get a ton more haters. XD Lets get started.     This is my favorite show. I LOVE IT!!! People don't know what they're missing out on... I totally think everyone should watch it. Great show. I love the way the story is set up and the animation is set up as well.

    So the show starts with your average Sonic opening (You know like the games), Eggman kidnapped Cream the Rabbit and has all the 7 Chaos Emeralds so you know what that means Sonic goes to Eggman's base destroys Badniks (I could just say Robots or E-series)goes trough some traps and tries to kicks Eggman's ass.

    So the show starts with your average Sonic opening (You know like the games), Eggman kidnapped Cream the Rabbit and has all the 7 Chaos Emeralds so you know what that means Sonic goes to Eggman's base destroys Badniks (I could just say Robots or E-series)goes trough some traps and tries to kicks Eggman's ass.
    Its an awesome START but! And this is a big "BUTT" things get ugly when the chaos emeralds open a portal to "our" world using chaos drive or other name that I can't remember.
    After that Sonic meets Chris a strange boy who is rich as **** his gramps is a lunatic old man, his butler is Bruce Lee with glasses and his maid is Oprah.
    Music is cool doesn't matter if it is the US or JAP versions both have great music nothing against it.
    The story of the show is simple finding the chaos emeralds and foiling Eggman's plans, sometimes you will see some new characters (most of them useless and with no personality), the show has some adaptation episodes about Sonic adventure and Sonic adventure 2 and to be fair the episodes are very faithful to the games (Chris is the only who ruins those episodes).
    The animations has some weird flaws like sometimes Sonic has blue arms, but its nice and reminds me of those old 80's animes.
    The characters are faithful to their game counterparts Sonic is full of attitude (a bit weak not powerful enough and he is always getting his ass kicked)Tails is a genius and he doesn't have a lot of self-worth, Knuckles is dumb always getting tricked by Eggman and he is always angry and confused for no reason.
    We also have Amy she's a whore (I am joking Sonamy fans), Cream is...well a little girl...
    We also have the chaotix, Shadow Rouge (no Omega).
    About the human characters you ask, well they have no personality its true their personality is gone Chris is a normal boy who has a strange attraction to Sonic (Elise?) and that's it all the other people on the show are annoying and have strange voices who remind me of Looney Tunes.
    The Show isn't bad its a normal Sonic show but they shouldn't have human in it ,I know Sonic Adv 1 and 2 had humans but they didn't affect the story they we're just normal people in the background, Chris is just boring and useless, Sonic is so Weak even in Super Sonic form, many fillers no joke here its full of them and the number one problem we almost never see Sonic's world it true, there's no reference to any stage from the games (Only on the adaptations of Sonic Adv 1 Adv 2 but it doesn't happen in Sonic's world).
    So that's all really its not bad but nothing special neither, still I recommend it to Sonic fan (modern ones) well that's all have a good one and happy rape day to all!    … Expand

    this show awsome unlike powerpuff girls z where they just turned into a dragon ball z knockoff the graphics are good and this was made in 2003 and i don't hate chris like another character i don't hate johnny test chris thorndike is the most underrated character like johnny test and porky

    This is very good movie . Best Sonic movie in my opinion . 3 seasons and all very good . In 1 season 26 series . This is amazing movie . And half 2 season made by Sonic Adventure , Adventure 2 , Battle

    This show would've been good but its bland, uninspired, and really dull. Chris Thorndyke is very unnecessary and should've been left out. This show should've been Sonic having amazing adventures not hanging out with some 10 year old and a bunch of boring humans in the world of anime. This show is bad in English and Japanese don't watch it

    Sonic X is a really bad anime. The story and characters are awful. Sonic is not even the main character of the anime, the character, Chris Thorndyke takes up most of the screen time. And he is a terrible character. Always whining and talking about how he is going to have Sonic all to himself. He's selfish and is not helpful in the slightest.

    The animation is bloody horrendous. There are    Sonic X is a really bad anime. The story and characters are awful. Always whining and talking about how he is going to have Sonic all to himself. He's selfish and is not helpful in the slightest.

    The animation is bloody horrendous. There are differing art styles which is distracting, characters are rarely on model. There are times when characters are coloured wrongly, times where characters don't have ears, Knuckles, who does not have fingers, occasionally is given fingers. There are frames that are so awfully drawn it's hilarious. ( Which also occasionally were so bad they were redrawn for the DVD releases). And the animation as a whole is just extremely choppy.

    The sound is easily the best part about the show. Well, in the Japanese version anyway, the voice acting in Japanese was done by the cast from the games. Which is for the most part well done. The show has a fantastic soundtrack, I love the intro and ending themes and the tracks in the episodes themselves are also really good.

    The dub on the other hand. Is really, really bad. The cast from the games, was not present. We instead got original voice actors for the anime, which eventually replaced the cast in the games. and they honestly did not get good until Sonic Unleashed. The only good actor is Mike Pollock as Dr. Eggman, which is fantastic. everyone else is really bleh. And the American soundtrack is unmemorable and is not worth listening to. The editing in the 4kids dub is also ridiculous. Some scenes were understandable, like the scene where Chris is in the shower (thank god they removed that), but then there are times where they remove things like " The House Of Amy Rose" or replace the word "Bookstore" with a picture of a book, or remove a background and replace it with a horribly drawn background. They also remove all references to the games that were in the original script. For some reason.

    Overall Sonic X is not an anime you should waste you're time with, it's horribly written, Horribly animated, has unlikable characters. And has a god awful English dub. If you really must watch Sonic X watch the original Japanese dub.

    I watched all the episodes...it was painful. The characters are full of stereotypes. Ella is the mexican maid which now at days would be called racist. The butler or that ching chong guy is the wise chinese guy. And the other characters have an IQ of a rock. I know it's a kid show but COME ON! I've seen more brains...in onions? The show is so lazy they have to get their ideas from theI watched all the episodes...it was painful. The characters are full of stereotypes. Season 1 was full of cringe. But I like the parts when they don't focus of Chris and his family. By the way the characters never get developed its more about the side characters. Sonic, The Chaotix, and Knuckles get barely any screen time. If they do Sonic is full of quick scenes and full of one liners. The chaotix sow up for 5 minutes then disappear. Knuckles gets tortured by Amy constantly...like literally any scene with Amy and Knuckles, Knuckles is going to get hurt. The writers are lazy which made a bland show with very little to offer.… Expand

    Mostly for the final season which is clearly heavily inspired by Macross (A kickass anime btw)
    The episodes before this season were pretty good but the last ones really hold up.
    Definitely worth checking out for sonic fans or fans of space themed mech anime who can tolerate sonic characters. Avoid the english dub though it is truly terrible in every regard.     Sonic X is the best anime ever along with yu-gi-oh!, i love chris thorndyke he is a cute hero, sonic chris and friends work together to find chaos emeralds, I love both english and japanese, I recommend sonic X.

    There are quite a few bad parts here and there, but if you're into Sonic lore I recommend it. Overall, it's an interesting take on the Sonic universe.

    The show is outstanding! The characters are well done, the stories are beautiful, and exciting its fun to watch! Anime is a Japanese animation, and it fits Sonic perfectly. However! DON'T WATCH THE 4KIDS ENGLISH DUB AT ALL COSTS! The dub cheapens the show and makes it a joke by ruining dialogue, and screws around with the episode order, AND THOSE EDITS!.     This show is great but I'm going to list my main problems: cheesy jokes, annoying characters, cheesy characters, and amy rose. Besides that this cartoon is good.

    It's either boring, irritating, or occasionally interesting as Sonic does fights and takes on different foes accompanied by some stellar music. Doesn't mean very much when the voice actors do a pretty terrible job, and the characters are extremely bland with barely any personality.

    I rly enjoyed the anime. It is a good Tv show, but there are some disadvantages:
    - this series there is a human character Chris. But he does not play any important role. And quite a lot (too much) cried. Generally, some characters like Dark Oak, Emerald.
    - Eggman does not try too hard to conquer the world.

    And last thing i will say Sonic X is way better than Sonic Underground

    Sonic X spends most of its time introducing way too many characters and niche plotlines, but thankfully it's all worth it in the end.
