There is absolutely no reason for low ratings on this show. Anyone who thinks this show is bad really doesn't have a sense of humor. If you grew up watching Thundercats or He-Man or any of that...you will enjoy this show. I honestly can't understand the hate that has been generated for this show...it's an instant classic.

Hilarious, I am hooked. I started watching on my own, and now I am watching it with my 16 year old daughter. I enjoy the He-Man/skull smashing, barbarian mix. I really need a throat bagpipe..

I'll keep this simple: if you were a child of the 80s, if Skeletor means something to you, or if you simply love clever/slightly absurd comedies, this is for you.

I was able to catch both of the last two episodes and WOW...did it hit its stride in the second one. It's a hilarious take on the fish out of water concept...but it's not all rude and crass all the time. It has some very touching moments interspersed with the fact that everyone plays the part straight on making this a really fun show to watch. I love the humor!

This is a great show with a stupid yet well pulled off concept. Jason does some fantastic voice acting here giving this deadpan yet eccentric comedy. This show shares some similarities to Space Ghost Coast to coast in small sense I think, I think the reviews are far too harsh on this show.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This show is innovative, and has a well thought out premise. With callings of Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Archer, and ‘the Office’ rolled into one terrific show. The Premise of a failed Father (Zorn) who leaves his job slaying the evils of Zephyria to help his boy teen find his way as half Zephyrian. A fictional race based in this series, which allows it to comically address the majority of issues plaguing society. The jokes are off beat and intelligent almost harking a 'The Office' appeal which may be before its time. The Animation implementation is the best that I have seen come from a this type of media genre (mixed reality/cartoon). Where the Animated character Zorn actually can interact with the world around himself. The cast is well formed, and the scripts are well thought out. This show is exploring multiple facets of society that some may find off putting, but again I stress that it is ahead of its time, and with more air time will hopefully catch on. It is not that the jokes or the script is intermittent because it struggles, it is because it is intentional which is a balance that this show accomplishes quite well. However this show may not be suitable for the ‘FOX’ audience, but rather a Cartoon Network atmosphere due to there being animation, and most people have some bias’ toward this type of media. Plus the type of humor and the issues the jokes center around may be above most people's ability to pay attention to due to all the moving pieces. I give this show a 10 because it rightfully deserves it. I have watched every Episode with increasing enjoyment. Expand

A great premise and a talented go a long way in making this comedy stand out, especially for anyone who was alive in the 80s as a kid, or with kids. If the show can keep up the pace it's got early in this season, it'll have potential to be something special.

Finally a show that isn't afraid to call out the cultural narrative that guys should be physically weak and sensitive. The show may not be well received by some women who may feel like Zorn represents everything they hate about men, but honestly, this is entertainment at its finest. More politically incorrect shows please!!

One of the best new comedies of the year.

Almost the entire cast hits it out of the park. The MVP is Tim Meadows as the eternally good-natured Craig who deals unusually well with Zorn's shenanigans. Not to say the title character isn't a lot of fun.. Zorn's like an overgrown frat boy, but they don't make the mistake of making him a total jerk. He actually goes through a lot of character

Not to say the title character isn't a lot of fun.. Zorn's like an overgrown frat boy, but they don't make the mistake of making him a total jerk. He actually goes through a lot of character growth in the season. The only weak element is the titular son of Zorn, Alan. He just isn't very interesting and when he acts selfish he isn't as redeemable as his father.

I also like that they completely run with the concept. The problem with the Patrick Warburton Tick show was that it had superheroes, but it made everything so mundane. Here, it's not just an animated guy doing everyday stuff all the time. They bring in Zorn's crazy world of Zephyria a lot, including a host of fantasy and science fiction items.

Really funny show, I highly recommend.

Based only on the pilot I have to say I love it and if you like Sea Lab 2021, Archer, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Frisky Dingo you will enjoy it too. I can't wait for more.

If this show is successful, then there is no hope for America as a nation. The acting is terrible, no doubt due to the need to integrate with a cartoon. The humor is bathroom humor of the lowest order lacking any creativity or redeeming value.

They take what could be a good premise, a cartoon superhero, trying to relate to an ordinary teenage son and turn it into a bunch of low moral BS, typical of hollywood degenerates. Yeah I get it, there is an imperative to continue the demoralization of the US population. But I never laughed once at their utter stupidity.

Rather I got angry and insulted that they passed this drivel off as entertainment. Please fail. Please don't tell me that the US population is actually entertained by this. If so the apocalypse is not far off.

I am really on the fence with Son of Zorn. On one hand, it's a refreshing, unique, concept that is rarely seen outside of cinema. On the other, Son of Zorn feels like it could be better, could be funnier than it actually is. For whatever reason, it feel's oddly restrained a lot of times and many of the jokes fall pretty flat.

If this was directed, written or produced by Seth Macfarlane,

The writing is off and the fact that the main character is animated make the whole scene and all the acting weird, to be honest I consider the show a waste of time and descent actors.

The animated portion does not look like it interacts with the live action portion at all, resulting in stiff jokes that feel like something that wishes they were in Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

The kind hearted plot may or may not be enough to make up for this.

After viewing the entire season one I can say that It's a funny, fresh, alternative show...and a great homage to cartoon and tv series cliches.
An animated show for adults (those who were actually young in the 80's) that entertain without needing to use vulgarity, obscenity or political jokes to make people laugh.
Artemis Pebdani and Timothy Meadows do a great job playing supporting

This show is hilarious. But, because it is not a clone of Family Guy the American critics panned it. American critics only like **** and fart jokes. Anything else flies over their heads.

I caught this show on an airline the other day and quickly watched all available episodes. It's really funny. The concept is definitely off beat but I think it really works. The show has such a strong cast as well - almost every actor I recognized from other comedy shows. There's even an occasional character voiced by Nick Offerman :-)

This humor may not be for everybody, but If you appreciate odd humor you may find it hilarious.

I only give this show a 10 to balance out ridiculous reviews of 0, but it is a solid, funny show.

Brash jokes to the opposite extreme are good for a quick chuckle, but deeper laughs came from the above comparisons many of us find in day-to-day life. Still, what makes Son of Zorn an exciting new series is that it can go to both ends of the spectrum with consistency.

Meadows was the one minor bright spot as the self-emasculating and self-deprecating therapist. Hines' allusions to a wild, coked-up past, Zorn's workplace woes, Pemberton's teen angst-these were all well-treaded tropes, and likely a missed opportunity for something more clever.
