While the misanthropy can be a little overwhelming at times and the balance between the Korvo/Terry plots and the wall feels off at times in both years, there’s an ambitious unpredictability to the writing on “Solar Opposites” that elevates it in every episode.

As inventive as “Solar Opposites” is in spurts, Season 2 shows how much the main four characters are relatively indistinguishable from each other. ... The main exception is Jesse (Mary Mack), who emerges as the main Season 2 bright spot.

Solar Opposites’ second season is a heaping helping of everything from the first season, but spread even thicker; whether or not the increasingly snide perspective its characters share will get even harsher in season three is a question even the denizens of the Wall can’t foresee.

The alien main characters on the other hand are irreverent whimsical roiland clichés that arent disappointing despite their lack of individuality from Rick & morty. Definitely worth watching for the wall storyline alone. Full Review »
