The choreographers they use are typically some of the best in the business. The trained dancers are usually very good.
The show has obviously bowed to pressure (assume from the network) to relate to a wide audience and its accommodations for street dancers have been way over the top to the point where the trained dancers no longer have a fair shot at the judging and voting. The street dancers too often get a pass on bad performances when the trained dancers get judged harshly on small issues in technique and style. This needs to be fixed and made fair moving forward.
Fox needs to commit to this show for the long term (multiple season renewal) and allow it to raise the expectations on street dancers so all are judged fairly.…Full Review »
