This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The fourth series contains subplots that destroy the character's relationships only to salvage them during the series finale in a predictable writing style. This path to relationship recovery moves along in a depressing, stereotype-peddling path. As a result Naomi and Emily, the stand-out couple from last series spends most the time arguing and crying. In my opinion the series is bearable by Jack O'Connell's poignant portrayal of misunderstood bad-boy Cook. His and JJ's touching episodes offer only welcome punctuations to a disappointing series. It's all crowned off with a death that could have been inspired from a B-list 1970s horror movie. In conclusion this is far below the usual standards. Expand

What an epic season of Skins!! I don't want to spoiled anybody but the "punch" at the end is so awesome! I mean, the last 3 episode are for me, the best episode of Skins!

I think that S4 suffers with the same problem as gen 1's second season in that it gets a little unbelievable. However, just like the previous season, gen 2 remain my favourites and I can't help but get invested in their story no matter how soapy they become. I absolutely love the finale of this season with Cook getting his badass moment. After a rewatch, I stand by assertion that gen 2 is better than gen 1. Expand

Skins is a comedy-drama series that follows the lives of young adults. Its story-lines have explored many life issues. All the portrayals in the series are accurate and visceral.
