    Every summer it seems the CW tries its hand at comedy. And every summer, the comedies they try are awful. This is no exception. Was it meant to be funny? I take it that it was, but there were no laughs... just uncomfortable awkwardness.

    The show is funny. The actors are great. When I saw the advertising I never thought I'd get hooked into a mom/ the best friend scenario. I just can't help but want to see more. I've watched the premiere like 10 times already. It is upbeat, hilarious, can't wait to see more of Lydia and Jimmy.

    Significant Mother benefits from amusing bits of dialogue here and there, but it’s largely predictable and fails to bring anything new to the sex comedy subgenre.
