Basically I don't understand why nobody commented on this, let me explain the story:
Amu Hinamori is a 5th grade transfer student who is often mistaken for being 'cool and spicy' but secretly she doesn't want to be like that. One night she makes a wish to become her true-self and the next morning she wakes up to find 3 eggs beside her bed. Later they hatch and are revealed to be Amu's would-be selves called Guardian Characters. She is also invited to join a group called 'The Guardians' who help make the school less hard but secretly they all have Guardian Characters and are out to find and purify the unwanted charas. The guardians are: Hotori Tadase (my love) the King's Chair with his Chara. Kiseki, Fujisaki Nadeshiko the Queen's chair and her Chara. Temari, Yuiki Yaya the Ace's Chair with her Chara Pepe and finally Souma Kukai with his Chara Daichi. On receiving the invitation Amu rejects but later accepts. This is also a Shoujo anime with the topics of love and slice of life with school life. We learn that Amu is in love with the 'Prince' Tadase, Sporty Kukai, Mysterious Ikuto, Boyish Nagihiko and Smart Kairi but she doesn't know what to do with her feelings...
The second seasons and after are about how she becomes closer to the guys She likes and how she learns about another lost egg that was once hers called Dia. Also they mainly focus on finding a magical egg called the 'embryo' which has the ability to grant wishes. And the final season is about how new guardians are elected and how they get to graduate...
