Jan 3, 2017Jesus, the first episode was horribad. Hope to update this with the upcoming episodes.
Sad to see this show that I once loved very much sink this low. Really sad. -
Jan 1, 2017Well polished and executed, great acting. The plot however is disappointing - fragmented, hectic and plainly obvious. Not even a tiny step towards uncovering the intrigue of Moriarty return story line from previous season.

Jan 10, 2017I’ve watched the first two episodes of the current series of Sherlock and I have to say, I’ve never seen anything so in love with itself as this series. It’s oozing smugness and self-satisfaction. And for a show which celebrates its own cleverness so much, the depiction of the villain in episode 2 as a Jimmy Saville-esque psychopath was crass and ham fisted.

Jan 17, 2017hi.this show was amazing in s1 and s2 .but after s2 Unfortunately The story was very poor and defeated. I waited 3 years for Season 4 . season 4 = Terribly weak and empty story !!!

Jan 2, 2017Even with the amazing cinematography and brilliant direction, the creators could not deter the show falling into a disappointing territory. The new season is disjointed, fragmented and convoluted, and often funny but it does not lead to anything, and even the relationship between Sherlock and John Watson lacks any kind of charm and it doesn't deliver on the grounds we all have been waiting for.

Jan 18, 2017What a piece of garbage. This only rug pulled this appalling, misogynistic queer bait of a season managed is to show that the writers had no clue where they were headed this whole time. The amount of inconsistencies is mind blowing. The acting was fantastic but could never redeem this insult to the viewers' intelligence.

Sep 25, 2018Sad to see such a promising series go so bad so fast.
The story is so tenous that it doesn't even remotely hang together anymore, with some forced turns and twists that are entirely unlikely and unnecessary to build up to ... nothing much. -

Jan 2, 2017not bad, but a little underwhelming. had a good twist at the end, and i am interested to see where this season goes. the performances remain phenomenal with Cumberbatch and Freeman giving some of their best work yet.

Jan 17, 2017This is the best tv show ever. It hooks you from the very first episode and is so entertaining. At the end of each episode it makes you go AHHHH. The bromance between Sherlock and John is my favorite thing ever. And Sherlock and Molly I LITERALLY DIED. The last episode is definitely my favorite. I can't wait for the next season!

Jan 23, 2017There are two types of people in this world.
One who understood and liked The Final Problem and one who didn't.
They need to understand how a character develops and blossoms.
This season truly showed how a cocky and arrogant genius transformed and matured into a kind-hearted legend.
Period. -
Feb 13, 2017Series 4 of Sherlock finds the titular detective solving mysteries about himself rather than external cases. This makes for an emotionally satisfying, deep, entertaining and dark trilogy of episodes that while peppered with minor flaws, works as a sum of its parts.

Jan 16, 2017Never gets old...never gets stale...never lets down its fan base. Wickedly smart fun....hang on to your hat...suspend your disbelief, once again this ride is worth it.

Jan 28, 2017An incredible show. Cinematically fantastic. Suspenseful. Great cast. Overall it feel as though the show is functioning on a higher level than other TV dramas. First episode this season seemed very unfocused so I will have to give it only a 9/10 but still a must watch.

Feb 22, 2018An insult for both audience and Sherlock himself. It was painful to watch. What a miserable end for such a great show.

Aug 11, 2018Oh God, thuis season deffinitly the best. I loved so much. It was so epic. Season 5 come please.
-
Aug 15, 2023Sherlock’s fourth, and probably last, season remains an entertaining watch with Cumberbatch and Freeman again excellent throughout. The writing isn’t quite as sharp as in previous seasons and at times it all feels a little self-indulgent.

Oct 14, 2018The second episode of the show was absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately, the other two do not live up to that standard.

Apr 10, 2021Yeah, well, uh, I still love the acting, but I find this season to be weaker than the previous. Several writing decisions felt odd to me and I wasn't as engaged as I was during the first two seasons. I wouldn't introduce the show to anyone with this season. Overall though I think some of you might still like it.

Unfortunately, the season four premiere has revealed that Sherlock’s most promising and divisive element in the wake of the season three finale--the evolving three-way relationship between Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch), John Watson (Martin Freeman), and John’s mysterious wife, Mary (Amanda Abbington)--is little more than a giant distraction, a red herring for ... whatever the show has up its sleeve next.
-
Helping move things along at a nice pace is Mark Gatiss’ script, which is quite strong. Though not his best for the series, he clearly relishes taking the show into a more serious direction, as well as providing lots of customary laughs in the episode’s first half.

Watching "Sherlock" is like dropping in on old friends who are as smart and sarcastic as ever but don’t seem to have as much joy in their lives anymore.
