Creo que es una serie con mucha calidad, que ha tenido buenos arcos argumentales y nos ha guiado al descubrimiento del misterio poco a poco. La serie se toma su tiempo y además hay mucha acción y desarrollo de guerras tanto de personajes.

I dont usually write for shows or movies. But here we go, internet spelling and all!

Honest review.

The series is well, amazing to me. I knew of She-Ra and He-Man back in the day, but these shows were designed for kids, with no real storyline or consequences. There seems to be alot of people say 'this is fanfic'. Which, I dont see at all. Its a reboot for a show that didnt really have a sound or logic storyline... She-Ra itself was just a spin-off of He-Man for girls. She-Ra: PoP, brings in a grounded story, with most things being realistic... till magic is involved. Using the idea of alien tech for half these occurrences.

On that note, what strikes the series as good to me is the storytelling of the characters. This is where most of the realism of the series came from for me. The way the characters acted, how a sword would feel heavy to someone, what people think of each other, and how emotion and attitude to each other are more natural then goofy and just immediately shot to... LIKE THE ORIGINAL SERIES DOES.

PoP is one of the ONLY cartoons I like in this day and age. I grew up in Cartoon Network's Golden Era. if you dont know, then some references to titles would be Ed Edd n' Eddy, Courage, KND, Dexters lab, subsidiary for classic cartoons like tom and jerry, a subsidiary for anime, and Grimm Adventures to name a few examples.

So, this is saying alot of someone who knows what they're looking at and for. The plot points each season are apparent, the series follows a storyline, each episode draws closer to the target they're trying to get to, with a bunch of minor points, and thrills, and minor plot points along the way in building characters, relations, and position of situations.

You know, like Lord of the Rings/The Hobit; That will look to expand on situations of the war, while following the main character, building rapport with friends and allies all while pushing to the ultimate goal of the story.

The difference here, is that PoP, Really. REALLY. nails character development, showing emotions, and frustrations, of the character in their relations, and the complexity and sensitivity of the severity of what everyone is doing without dragging it out or standing around for 3 episodes talking it out like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece. ect.

For a show rated 7+ ... its alot more complex than that for someone of the age of 7 to understand. You can tell the detail, the love from the VAs and the writing team that went into this show.

In final i would like to give this series a 9/10. The characters, the relations, the feelings, how easy it is to pick a relatable character or fav character. the great story thats easy to show, but complex when you try to describe it. It leaves you wanting more... all the way up to the end.

And that ending isnt a 'happily ever after' tone. Its a 'whats next!?' tone. with no 'the end' insight. The reason i have given this series an extra point is that its a cliff hanger. The possibility of another continuation season, spin-off, movie, or even a flip to He-Man's remake next is very apparent. Its something alot of the writing team wants to do. So for that alone, the desire from a writer to keep moving forward. +1

There is strong character development and growth throughout most of the characters portraying emotional difficulties to overcome as well as the effects of their actions, denoting that even when the best possible choice is acted upon, there will still be losses and inevitable consequences. It is lighthearted in a lot of aspects but it takes chances in showing what is lost as much as what is gained. She Ra and the Princesses of Power is by no means perfect, but it is a worthy successor with strong character design and animation, and the best we could have hoped for as a revival of the series. I remember some controversy when the show came out, and wondered: who cares about a remake of an 80s show, created to sell toys?
And then someone recommended it to me, and I found myself flabbergasted how quickly it won me over. From the first episode, the show manages to find a perfect balance between adventure and developing the characters, where the adventures are actually tense and exiting, while the characters and their relationships are well-developed and strikingly likeable. I deeply appreciate how the characters care for each other, and how it made me care for their well-being in all the very imaginative, dangerous situations they find themselves in.
Combine that with confident storytelling, which neither shies away from its tropes, nor falls for them, and you get a show that is up there with the all-time greats like Samurai Jack, Kim Possible or Steven Universe.
A stupid 80s toy-commercial, born again as masterpiece - who would have guessed...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When I think of all the most influential cartoons of the 80s, I think of TMNT, Thunder Cats, The Smurfs, Voltron, Captain Planet and of course He Man and She Ra. It’s been over 35 years since we’ve heard anything from these two and when I got word in 2018 that a remake of She Ra was coming to Netflix, I pooped my pants in excitement. But there was one small problem floating in the back of my mind, the potential for this show to be a complete failure and an insult to the legacy of The Masters of the Universe franchise was at high risk. But thankfully that wasn’t the case at all. So we start out with what I think is one of the best openings to any cartoon of the last 10 years. We meet our protagonist, Adora a young and aspiring force captain in the Horde army and it’s also here where we meet our antagonist, well atleast until season 5, Catra. So Adora ends up finding the sword of power and abandons the horde along with Catra. Midway through the series it’s relatively calm and then comes season 3. In the end of season 3, Catra opens up a portal that messes with reality and warps Etheria. The Fright Zone has been sucked up by the portal, so King Micha never dies and his family lives happily together. The season 4 is tame and is a breath of fresh air, then comes season 5. My god, season 5 is balls to the wall insane, twist after twist. That’s really all I’m going to say because it has to be watched. I’d say that this story is easily the best we’ve had in years, it is a true successor to the original and if you have Netflix, I highly recommend it if you’re an old or new fan of The Masters of the Universe franchise. The diversity in character designs is great and makes a lot of sense given the scale of things, being superior to the OG in every way as far as that goes. Unique and thoughtful designs > copy-paste action figure molds every day. Adora is a fun protagonist, but the circular nature of the show and plot progression through constant obvious screw-ups by the main cast just isn't fun to watch at a point, at least for me. The power system is interesting, but is quickly TV-Y7'd into just being more plot convenience. All of the external conflicts are really poorly done and honestly wouldn't have any reason to be there other if not for it being a remake. The whole premise is really stupid. You never get to see the 'countries' (two dozen people at max) interact or fight together in interesting ways beyond their princesses, and the things each one of them brings to the table aren't unique enough to support the themes of the show. The only place that matters on the planet is Bright Moon and no episodes bother to stray from the main cast to say anything interesting. How can a group of characters be 'diverse' when all of their cultures are pretty much different flavors of copy-paste that are never expanded upon? Seems like a missed opportunity. All in all it's sparkly ship-bait for those desperate for LGBTQ+ representation, don't use your brain or it all falls apart very quickly. The choreography is really, really bad too, and the animation leaves a lot to be desired. Expand

I honestly can't see how somebody could rate this show as a 0.

This is an amazing cartoon. I'm a grown old man, and even I was like "Yeah! Get him!" when Adora was confronted by Prime in the last season, but then transformed. The show does a great job at creating humor, sadness and happyness within the viewer. And has created some entertaining characters in birdhorse :D Scorpia, and Sea Hawk to name a few. I was honestly oblivious to Catra's true feelings, that the 'reveal' (for me at least it was) made me understand a bit more why she was so mad when Adora left her side in season 1. A great show with a perfect series' end.

As an 80s child, this wasn't what I expected from a She-Ra revival. But damn, I loved this fantastic 5 season ride.

The writing makes no sense; the world building is weak, most of the characters feel 2 Dimensional, there's little surprise to what's going to happen, and it feels like a missed opportunity. What I did enjoy about the show, however, was how its antagonists presented some of its conflict. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because the good guys always win and this is a kid's show for crying out loud, I knew there would be little consequence in the story or in the action. I didn't root for the good guys because they could not lose, nor were they fleshed out enough to have me invested in their plight. The bad guys caught my attention because that cast of characters was far more interesting to me. From what I've been told, they've steal the show, and I can see why. There's some that are cast in shades of gray, some that have dynamics with multiple characters, and then some that pose serious threats to the Heroes enough to make you wonder "how are the good guys gonna get outta this one?". The answer is usually deus ex machina + the power of love, but I'd be damned if I wasn't left a good impression just from their presence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aesthetically, the cartoon is pretty typical as far as western action for kids goes. It's like Ben 10 but with princesses and amazon warriors. The animation quality is very generic, but it's a wonder to see that there's actually cartoons like these still being made for western audiences. The sound design is weak, but not terrible. It frequently uses stock sound effects and LOTS of what I call "drama thumps". Some more filters, panning, and fade outs could've been done with the sound overall, but I guess you wouldn't really look for good sound quality in a damned kids show.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She-ra and the Princesses of Power has some redeeming qualities to it, but is held back by its weak writing. The highlight of the show was its antagonists and I might revisit the show some day for that alone. I recommend this show for people that want to do some research on writing characters or for people that just don't care and want to watch princesses bashing things.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me begin by saying that the only reason I began watching this series only because two friends of mine wouldn’t shut up about it, so for the sake of inner peace, I played the first episode. The omnipresent rainbow, childishness and over expressiveness was enough to annoy me to the core. However, since I don’t tend to abandon a series or a movie that I already started watching, I persisted. During the first season, I got used to all the sparkles and gayness; I’m not homophobic (in fact, I’m bi- myself), I’m referring to the attitude that is typical for gay people, not sexual orientation. The second season continued with more or less the same pace. This is where the magic began to happen.

After the skepticism and annoyance wear off, you begin to realize, that the characters you have been watching for over 9 hours have actually grown quite close to your heart. You are happy when they are, you cry when they do, you are part of the squad. Couldn’t believe it myself. In any case, I continued watching, this time because I genuinely wanted to. And boy, was I surprised when the third season changed the pace of action entirely. She-Ra became, well, maybe not mature, but definitely more serious all of a sudden. The plot thickened, the problems at hand grew bigger and more complex, the character developed in unexpected yet well-chosen directions. Season 4 continues in the same direction, and my admiration towards the creators grows even more. The story ramifies, conflicts emerge, decisions are made, new players appear. [MAJOR SPOILERS]
Season 5 is absolutely off the charts; incredibly emotional, full of personal development for many characters, an amazingly written redemption arch for Catra, epic sacrifices (Shadow Weaver’s last stand, Hordak’s self-discovery), and - most importantly - a great finale for Adora’s and Catra’s relationship. When they confessed their love for each other in the Heart of Etheria, I, a grown man with an inherited despise towards romance in movies and series, have cried like a b*tch I am. I really doubted this storyline would see a proper end, set aside such an amazing one, simply because of She-Ra’s age restrictions (12+). Luckily, I was greatly mistaken. In fact, I don’t think I have ever seen a romance that was written better than this one, neither in any movie, series, or book nor in a videogame (and that’s coming from someone who dedicated his life to discovering amazing stories and analyzing them). It wasn’t obtrusive, it wasn’t cringy, it wasn’t cliché; it was simply natural and beautiful. [END OF SPOILERS]

There’s one more detail that makes She-Ra a great series, and that is the world it has created. It is a world of no discrimination towards nobody. It’s not just that women, men, people of LGBT+ are treated like normal human beings; what makes this world special, is that at no point is any of this even mentioned, because there is just no need to do so. No one is even remotely surprised seeing people of the same sex being in love or a woman kicking a man’s ass in battle. This is what makes this world so beautiful.

There, I said it. This is how a cartoon for children became one of my favorite series of all time. I am still a bit shocked at my own journey with this series, from being annoyed to the core all the way to rewatching the final episode just to experience it once more. I honestly doubt I will ever experience another work, be it a movie, a series, a book, or a videogame the way I experienced She-Ra. Great props to the creators and everyone who participated in making this series (looking at you, voice actors).

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Season 1 starts amazing, 9/10. Catra is the breakout character and real protagonist of the show. She is one of the most compelling and likeable characters ever in fiction. An abused and abandoned little kitten that doesn't give up, fights back, vows revenge, and tries to make something great with her life -- all while crying out for love and appreciation. In season 1, we can watch Catra rise the ranks, overthrow her demonic abuser, and achieve recognition for her achievements. It is so emotionally satisfying!

Unfortunately, season 5 ends at a very disappointing note, 1/10. More disappointing even than the infamous final season of Game of Thrones. What SPOP did to Catra, destroying her character and nerfing her into Adora's little pet, was even worse than what GoT did to Daenerys.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Beware: There are a LOT of other mindless reviews that have nothing to say about the show's features, untruthfully giving a PERFECT 10 merely because LGBTQIA+ characters are present.

The animation is low frame rate with excessively simplistic costume & character designs. That makes it easier to animate, but also means there's no excuse for such low frame rates on this action-adventure content.

The writers did a race-swap of the character Bow for NO REASON, a lazy, anti-progressive "liberal" approach to race issues in our society on the part of this series' creators. They had nothing important to say about race in Etheria OR in our real world. They could have inserted any number of new black characters. Bow was ALREADY MORE INTERESTING, with whatever limited characterization he had, as a role model of a strong white male who's self-worth isn't defined by at least some instances of performative male toxic masculinity. They erased Bow's talent as the man in the She-Ra cast who uses stage magic, if not real magic. They had obvious opportunities here to show how well-adjusted white males deal with acusations of homosexuality based upon mere appearance or "muscular sexiness". They could have shown the dichotomy of being "a feminine male" if you ever show that you have big, chippendale-like muscles, but simultaneously also feminine if you have no muscles. In the context of stage magic, Bow's abdominals-revealing outfit acts as a useful distraction just like any Las Vegas stage magician's show-girl assistant's revealing outfit serves to misdirect the audience's eye away from the magic trick's secret. NONE of that was explored in this show. Bow was race-swapped without doing anything to establish whether or not the audience is supposed to understand that this is just 1 of many alternate dimension versions of a She-Ra, or if this is a "When She-Ra was a kid" story IN CONTINUITY with the prior FILMATION cartoons, and that "Bow" isn't just a particular person's NAME, but a TITLE held by a person who is supposed to be the bodyguard of the princess. These problems prove the creators of this particular She-Ra series didn't love She-Ra half as much as WE DO, or Masters Of The Universe generally. The creators could have shown us examples of martial "brotherly love" that has nothing to do with homosexuality serving in military unison right alongside concretely coupled homosexual males who are ALSO on "active duty". They could have shown us how these kinds of characters deal as a unified war-fighting TEAM, in the face of biggoted attacks against their force. Instead, all we got was a token-ized race-swapped character, which the creators should have known is the PHONIEST way to do inclusiveness in the 21st century. The whole of Masters Of The Universe has a kind of "pro-wrestling" goofyness to it, which isn't "bad" per se, it provides the creative ridiculous space in which to play and make jokes. But it would have been nice if the series had done a better job of showing us exactly how much might the forces of Etheria actually have to bring to bear in a war against The Horde, & vice-versa. Instead, it's ephemeral. More soldiers or tanks will show up if "the plot needs them". Which allows the writers to do lazy writing. The battles don't actually matter to the audience, because we can't detect how great or small the stakes are.

Swift Wind is only BARELY used in the series! She-Ra's pegacorn steed is central to establishing the magic fantasy nature of the setting, but he's only around for an episode and a half or so. Why put to WASTE such a useful, enjoyable character?

The worst part is that the writers didn't give the first campaign's story any plot consequences. After it is made CRYSTAL CLEAR that the villans have completely, utterly, and irreversably WON DECISIVE VICTORY, Adorra's lame-o half-heartedly non-commital "friends" show up too late to matter. But they use magic, and they still lose, not changing anything. But then the mushroom-girl with the magic flute enters on a magic-induced wave of water that washes away a tiny handful of enemy soldiers, and *poof*, suddenly all of the characters are acting like they didn't just lose to The Horde. No earned story-proof of mitigation of The Horde's victory is shown on-screen or in voice-over to we, the audience. It was SO BAD. What's worse, the use of magic has inconsistent costs. Magic can appearently be used by any character at any moment in any amount, and it *might* make them so "hurt bad" they need to be bed-ridden for days, or it might have no effect upon them. By the standards of the final battle, the mushroom-themed girl is the most powerful character in all of Etheria, & thus NO other characters' activities mattered at all, not even She-Ra's. Mushroom princess was always going to deus-ex-machina the good guys a victory no matter how much the writers already showed us the bad guys have a very, very final total victory.
