This season is a lot shorter, clocking in at just 7 episodes. As a result there wasn't a lot of room in setting up a plot this season. The season were much more episodic and the ending lacked any real climax and was mostly just a set up for season 3.

Whereas the first season focused on establishing She Ra and the princesses, this season has more of a focus on the relationships between different characters. Though disappointingly, the show didn't explore the relationship between Adora and Catra this season, which was one of the most compelling aspects of season 1.

That being said, this is the funniest season, and it did a good job of using humour to endure me to some of the minor characters. The show is still a lot of fun and animated well.

This season is great. It explores more of the characters than the main story, in return has less episodes than the first season but with a build up leading to season 3.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is back in a big way in Season 2, with plenty of action, humor, vibrant animation, and a colorful array of characters of all sorts. It’s only shortcoming is in Netflix’s decision to cut the season down to a too-short 7 episodes.

This season is short (seven episodes), and it too-patiently table-sets toward larger revelations ahead. but showrunner Noelle Stevenson evolves her robo-fantasy saga in exciting directions. [19/26 Apr 2019, p.89]
