Disney continues to lose their reputation for great graphics and effects. The talent is not to blame, it's all 100% woke, condescending and lazy Disney. Let's just face it, this company will never be the same in quality again. Lightyear was a complete failure; Toy Story 4 was a disgrace, and this is their next cumbersome title to make you wish they tried harder.

The backstory is expedited in less than 5 minutes, the actors are really doing a poor job, the CGI is intrusive, photography is worse than tv shows of the genre, there is no comedy (it's really not funny and breaking the 4th wall has to be done properly now that we have had deadpool doing a pretty good job in context), whoever designed the sets should be catapulted in the Bermuda Triangle. The story is just bad, the antagonist useless. The context of the story is probably the worse part: it does not tie to the rest of the MCU and particularly the backstory of Bruce Banner, why? We got it, it's another misandrist show with its own kind of "Mary Sue" trying to rival Rey or Batwoman, etc where woman= near perfection immediately and man = dumb fool at best. Expand

The typical excuse of using a beloved character like She-Hulk, to put the entire agenda with feminist and progressive garbage, do not waste your time with this series!

It could have been so good. But Disney broke it again with their woke stuff.
She-Hulk can practice everything and of course better than Hulk’s 10 years had to control the monster in himself.
It’s all so anti-male and horrible, I wonder why it couldn’t have been just a modern Ellen Ripley or a second Sarah Connor.
They were strong women, too, and they were respected.

    In short... Misandrist crap.

In long... They rushed and ruined her origin. Her acting as pretty poor. The plot device on Hulk in order to change her origin was lazy, and poorly written. Degrading The Hulk to try and make her look better is just activist bs.
Jen is basically obnoxious and completely unlikeable. That courtroom scene was like something from the CW, omg it was cringe

I liked the comics and it’s not true to them. Then I evaluate this on its own merits for what it is…..more of the same from Marvel. Identity politics and lecturing. The story is predictable and formulaic. The CGI is meh. If this is representative of what’s to come from Marvel it’s not a good sign of things to come. I will try my best and keep aside the show being woke af.
But the whole writing is cringe. She basically can do everything better than banner on a basis of what?
She even almost beats bruce in a 1v1 fight. Even tho bruce fought in countless battles and save the earth multiple times. What did she fight before? The bad guys who catcalled her? And at the end of the episode that she took

And at the end of the episode that she took off her shows to fight the woman who entered the courtroom (that didnt even was explained why she attacked) bc the shows could break during transformation. Absolute cringefest.

The wokeness is one thing that makes it really really bad.
But the writing is goddamn awful. The only thing that kept me from not turning off was bruce.

They took a great woman hero from the comics and ruined her with modern political messaging. She's insufferable out the gate. Mary Sue 101. She gets her ego stoked by her best friend and she constantly states she's better than the Hulk. The CGI improved only slightly from the Uncanny Valley horror we got in trailer reveals.

This is a crying shame. Disney should lean more into the source

Another Disney Mary Sue character who is instantly better at everything than the other character with similar powers (without training, without character development, just like that).

No time is taken for a reasonable origin story, everything happens immediately and for the most absurd reasons. Probably because a target audience is to be addressed, who are used to 30-second video clips

    Edit after Episode 3:
I don't know what this show wants to be, but one thing is for sure, it's not funny. The humor is flat and overly childish, even by Marvel standards.

The point with the target audience of TikTok children, on the other hand, has now been absolutely confirmed for me...

They changed the origin of She-Hulk from Bruce Banner offering his blood in a transfusion to save her to the exact opposite because the actual Hulk has to be a useless clown the entire time.

Mark Ruffalo shows again why he was an awful choice to play the Hulk. Pathetic and whiny at the best of times and only used as a spring board for his much more competent female counterpart. This show is amazingly mask off in its hatred of men to the point where Jennifer rants about how all men do is steal her glory and success from her. I would not watch a show that was this cruel to women so why would I watch something like this that is nothing, but the writer's grievances with men being aired like dirty laundry?

What I didn’t expect was the canonization of Captain America loosing his virginity to a show girl like some sick fan fiction, or a character saying her life is worse then a character who had just had his girlfriend killed to literally save half the universe, and the mere option of suicide denied to him after eating a bullet, how is her life worse? She gets cat called and toxic men in the work force man-plain to her. Or actually might have the chance of getting murdered be a guy who actually caused the deaths of thousands if not millions of people because of a monster he can not control. Yes the average woman clearly has handles anger far better then the character they spent 15 years on building tragedies for. I guess I’m the fool for thinking the writer of the famous Pickle Rick episode could somehow save this show. Expand

It is Maslany who brings the most energy to the show, hating her nickname because it's a derivative of a man's and breaking the fourth wall Fleabag-style. I will say that the bits when she is alone with Banner at his beach hideout drag somewhat, and it's silly quite a lot of the time, but it succeeds. A superhero tale with a serious message but which doesn't take itself too seriously.
