The season where Seinfeld finally hit its stride. I won't bother dissecting episodes from the show, but just so you get an idea how "classic" this season is, I'll list some episodes (which is worth more than 1000 words when talking about this show): The Pitch, The Bubble Boy, The Cheever Letters, The Virgin, The Contest, The Pick, The Implant, The Junior Mint. Is that enough for you?

Seinfeld is hands down the best comedy series that ever lived. Most people would agree with me that it completely changed the way comedies were done as well as being one the funniest shows you could ever watch. Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David are geniuses! Go. Watch. This. Show. Every Episode.

This fourth season of Seinfeld was what propelled it from cult favourite to huge network hit and is widely regarded as the start of the shows golden period. The main story running throughout this season is George and Jerry's attempt to develop a sitcom pilot for NBC but it is the individual episodes that make this arguably Seinfeld’s greatest season. The main story running throughout this season is George and Jerry's attempt to develop a sitcom pilot for NBC but it is the individual episodes that make this arguably Seinfeld’s greatest season. Pushing the boundaries of TV comedy, let alone network comedy’ with episodes 'The Bubble Boy' and 'The Visa' we really start to see the characters at the hilariously selfish best while the 'The Contest' (considered by many to be the shows funniest episode) is as every bit as unexpected as it is funny.

This is TV comedy at its best.

This is a show about nothing; however, for a show about nothing, this show has many complex plots, sub-plots, is very well written and put together. So much so that until the public caught onto the series, the television critics were responsible for helping to keep it alive. The critics further went on and made the series

All that's missing from Seinfeld is some human ballast to the frivolity. Jokes about air conditioning in Florida and bathrooms in shopping malls are fine as far as they go. But Seinfeld the character remains curiously weightless and remote.
