Most of all, the season has a confident sense of humor that was lacking in its freshman outing.

Sausage Party: Foodtopia remains funny, but it also feels toned down from what we're used to, whether that be on purpose, from overfamiliarity with this world, or the challenge of trying to top itself. Still, it's kept afloat by the characters we already know and love.

Since they’re working with derivative writing and animation that isn’t particularly interesting to look at, the voice cast is really the only thing that makes this show watchable.
