Jun 29, 2020A good creative show that keeps you interested. The cast is great but Timothy Olyphant is just awesome. It's nice to see him play this kind of role, I always have been a big fan of his and it's nice to see this side of him.

Apr 11, 2019Gross out comedy horror starring Timothy Olyphant who has obviously gotten tired of playing cool guys and goes hell for leather as the awkward dork with Drew Barrymore going uber coarse. I've never heard someone called a c**tstick before. A weird concoction that works. Apart from the sardonic teenage daughter. She adds nothing.

Dec 4, 2018This is absolutely the most funny TV series I've ever watched I've laughed from start to finish even the drama was entertaining please please please make more seasons of this I don't even leave movie reviews this was so darn good I had to make one

Aug 8, 2018This show needs serious writing improvement, the use of the F-bonb and other language is too much! Drew Barrymore shame on you as a producer and not instill better writing for the show. Being creative and actually writing more than F-bombs, etc.-takes talent. Clean it up and get some talented writers!

Apr 22, 2018This is extremely entertaining. To those whining about the "gore"... if the show didn't have that gimmick, it wouldn't be a show. Period.
Anyway, this is one of the funniest shows I've watched in *years*, literally. -
Apr 14, 2018It's not the best show of all time, but it's one of the most different comedy series of all time, and believe me: It works. You feel anxious to see what's going to happen in the next episode, and time flies while you're watching.

Apr 8, 2018Timothy Olyphant is one of the sexiest men alive and a very strong actor with star power. None of this is in evidence in Santa Clarita Diet. They must be paying him a huge amount per episode, because this is a huge waste of talent.

Sep 13, 2017Enjoyable, at best. It had potential, but the result is disappointing. Of course, there are people who would worship this type of show. This is not for you if you're looking for a horror comedy, or even a romantic comedy.

Apr 29, 2017Santa Clarita Diet first episode was so awful that I thought the whole show was going to be a disaster but it start to get better and better with each episodes.
Best Episode Strange or Just Inconsiderate? 7/10
Worst Episode So Then a Bat or A Monkey 3/10 -
Apr 29, 2017The first 2 episodes were ok, but episode by episode, it got better.
Halfway through it started having some hilarious scenes in it.
Much better than I expected. I like the supporting actors and Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant do a great job, especially the latter, playing the terrified, way over his head husband really well.
Glad, the show got renewed for a second season. -
Apr 3, 2017a really good show the acting great the story great if i where to rate it i would give it a home cooked Panini out of 10. Timothy Olyphant is my favourite man and favorite actor i hope to have a sandwich with him and his seens was a meatball marina sandwich out of 10

Mar 13, 2017Very entertaining and different. Drew Barrymore never disappoints. All the characters are great and the storyline cracks me up. Love it and can't wait for season 2.
-
Mar 10, 2017I cannot believe that this show even got a single rating above 2. It's awful and absurd! Barrymore's acting also seems awkward and out of place here. Comedy and Horror should stay firmly separate.
-
Mar 6, 2017It is very different compared to the shows I usually watch. I was a tad bit grossed out at first, but somehow Drew Barrymore makes even the weirdest, grossest things to be funny. I actually ended up really enjoying the show after 3 episodes.

Mar 2, 2017I've never had so much fun with a zombie comedy since Zombieland, and I've never been so bloody shocked since The Walking Dead. Santa Clarita Diet conquers with its acid humor, bloody moments and much, but very disgusting, it is certainly a full plate for fans of the genre, and of course, Drew Barrymore gives a show as the most charismatic living I already saw.

Feb 13, 2017Pretty funny if you watch it with the wife and two bottles of wine. It was actually quite a pleasant surprise for us as my wife hates zombies and anything zombie-related.

Feb 11, 2017Disappointing.
I had high hopes for this show, but it most definitely fell short. Unfortunately for the viewer, there are but a few good jokes in this series, which proves to be both, poorly written and poorly executed. -
Feb 7, 2017Lazily written and hammy poor acting. I think they thought they could hide behind the excuse of trying to emulate some b-horror moments. But b horror has a feel that this lacks utterly. This is a poorly executed show that straddles the line between really-bad-conventional-comedy and b-horror-tropes-by-people-that-don't-get-b-horror.
It's pretty forgettable. -
Feb 6, 2017i love the serie
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa -
Feb 6, 2017Thought this was an absolute treat. Drew's performance was a little lacking in the beginning but grew over time. To see Olyphant in a comedic role was a surprisingly fun ride. I binged it in two days and absolutely enjoyed it.

Feb 6, 2017Santa Clarita Diet isn't lol funny but its funny enough to be entertaining. Drew Barrymore is great, and Timothy Olyphant's manic performances are good too. The HDR is also great. All the F-bombs and an even a C-bomb were highly appreciated. Netflix, please continue to produce adult-level entertainment.

Santa Clarita Diet is a project with its curiosity factor driven solely by narrative motion, not striking comedy or worthwhile performances.
-
The gore level is playful, not scary, and the idea that true love conquers all, even a craving for human flesh, permeates the show. Sheila, Joel and Abby can still live the American dream, it will just taste a bit odd.
-
Once everyone settles into a rhythm of absurdity, Santa Clarita Diet sharpens right up. It just takes a few episodes for everyone to figure things out.
