    "Salem" has put the WGN channel on the map for many of us. I never had a reason to go there previously. Now I turn in religiously each Sunday night. The premise of "Salem" is of course the 1700s Massachusetts witch trials. But instead of being innocent, the witches are just what they are accused of... in league with the Devil and intent on bringing Hell to earth. The main character Mary"Salem" has put the WGN channel on the map for many of us. I never had a reason to go there previously. Now I turn in religiously each Sunday night. The premise of "Salem" is of course the 1700s Massachusetts witch trials. But instead of being innocent, the witches are just what they are accused of... in league with the Devil and intent on bringing Hell to earth. The main character Mary catches it from all sides (the Puritans, fellow witches, and ex love interest John Alden). We are all rooting for Mary (even though she does want to destroy mankind). In season 2 an even more powerful witch, Countess Marburg (played by the always fabulous Lucy Lawless), arrives in town. Will there will be anything left of Salem after these two powerhouses go at it? All I know is if all witches are as lovely as these two... where can I sign up?… Expand
