    Even though this show was produced on a budget, the communication of emotion, character individuality and overarching story development episode-to-episode were more than solid. As a visual communications professional I especially appreciated the gorgeous way the backgrounds were rendered; that detail was consistently one of my favorites.     If Sailor Moon was only another anime series it couldn't have reached the recognition, popularity and its pop culture status around the world and one of the main banners on anime and the magical girl genre.
    A series that took the magical girls genre inspired by Bewitched and created by Mahou Tsukai Sally and added the action and heroism of super sentai series like Power Rangers, with its    If Sailor Moon was only another anime series it couldn't have reached the recognition, popularity and its pop culture status around the world and one of the main banners on anime and the magical girl genre.
    A series that took the magical girls genre inspired by Bewitched and created by Mahou Tsukai Sally and added the action and heroism of super sentai series like Power Rangers, with its own visual and storytelling style where a very rich cast of girls with their own personalities appealed to people around the world.
    The sum of action, romance, comedy and drama is well made and balanced making a good and simple pleasure to watch and follow the story of these common girls that became pretty looking heroines despite the use and creation of its own formulas and cliches that many anime and non anime series have followed as an example in the magical girls genre since then.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. fist before i start reviewing this i am not doing the japenese version I'm doing the english version. Alright first i am going to talk about the characters Sering/sailor moon is awful absolutely awful she just runs away from every enemy and get this one of the lyrics in the theme song is she never runs from a real fight and she does this in every episode and get the other sailor scouts to pick up the slack. now il talk about the sailor scouts how i love lets start amy/ sailor mercury her character is great she is good because it was smart to have tactian on it so she makes the plans and jesus christ have you seen her special power calle aquatis blast it nearly kills them all she is the most lethal and her dialog is also smartly done. now lets talk about are/ sailor mars her character is quite brutal and kind of mystical as she can find out things by talking to the great fire and she can parylze enemys even when she is in sailor mars mode and she can make a phoenix come out when she is sailor mars. next is lenna/ sailor jupiter how is more of a hand to hand person and when she is sailor jupiter she basically parylzes her enemys and thats all i really got from her from season 1 sorry. now last of all mina/ sailor venus is really funny i mean she is like the comedian of the 5 any sailor venus her powers have 80 percent of mercury and there are blinding. atriums the cat is actually really funny mainly because he can be a dick sometimes and he is a badness and luna the cat is more like wisdom and tough as well and all these characters are tougher then sailor moon. now the store queen beryl is trying to seize control of the universe but to do it she gets energy from humans by putting them in a device or getting a monster to drain it and also wants to unleash the 7 shadows that can destroy anything but she needs the imperial crystal and thats my review… Expand

    I love this anime/manga this is a real classic anime that you should watch, i'm a grow-up now but that doesn't means i forget this series because thanks to this series i grew up!! this anime will always gonna be part of my heart
