One episode in, a gazillion jokes later, this show won't let up. Smart and incisive, vulgar and unapologetic, but more importantly Laugh out loud funny, this is TV at its best.

Brillant, just absolutely brilliant. Not only is it the best animated show on television but it's one of the best comedies out there right now. Every episode just gets better and better, the plots just keep getting more and more outrageous and it just creates a though provoking laugh out loud comedy that is so rarely seen on television. I love Rick And Morty.

After the first episode, I thought, oh well it's happened. It's lost its edge. But then episode two... epic! Right back to as good as it's ever been!

I could say, "Rick and Morty, the greatest show ever," but that would be redundant. Expand

Hands down, the most inventive, intelligent, profound, and singularly hilarious animated series of the decade. As fascinating as Star Trek and as funny as The Simpsons

The show is not only still going strong, but has improved upon its already exceptional formula. Season 2 ups the stakes and tension with several insanely brilliant episodes and concludes with a shocking selfless act from an otherwise laissez faire character. Can't wait for season 3!

Season 2 has still not reached the peaks that we know these guys are capable of, but is still worth a 10 in my opinion. Inventive, funny and bat **** crazy, Rick and Morty is one of the best shows on TV at the moment. Highly recommended.

PS: How many people spotted the Meeseeks in Episode 2? :)

This season was a little Rick-heavy, although the dad got more screen time, who isn't as interesting as Morty. Definitely not as good the first season but it hasn't slid too far. Season 3 should be (hopefully) more interesting...

If the first season deserves a 10 (and it doest) this deserves an 11, despite a couple of unnecessary moments (like the sequel of improvised interdimentional tv shows) this season managed to reach a new level of cleverness.

Rick & Morty is a great comedic show but when this show wants to get serious, It really gets serious from attempted suicide and the dark reality that is life. But they don't do this to be edgy for it being an "Adult cartoon" but do it to develop it's interesting characters .
This show is a philosophical masterpiece

Just as dark and twisted as season one, and arguably even funnier, Rick and Morty is never going to appeal to a large mainstream audience but those of you that like a little more edge to your comedy will find plenty of laughs here.

Here's an example of just how good this show is.

One episode basically features a standard genie. It appears, grants a wish, and disappears. It's even blue, so the ripoff with Aladdin is even more pronounced. However, it takes that core concept, then makes it their own and expand on it so totally that it becomes completely original, to the point where you no longer see the character

One episode basically features a standard genie. It appears, grants a wish, and disappears. It's even blue, so the ripoff with Aladdin is even more pronounced.

However, it takes that core concept, then makes it their own and expand on it so totally that it becomes completely original, to the point where you no longer see the character as a genie - it is simply Mr. Meeseeks. Even the concept from the show - basically Doc Brown and Marty McFly from Back To The Future - is an example of the same thing; a concept is taken, then blown up and developed to the nth degree so that it takes on a unique life of its' own.

To do that takes crazy talent right through from the scriptwriting to the art team. Rick & Morty, for two seasons now, has been the finest animation on television, and arguably the greatest animation full stop since The Simpsons hit our screens. It's just so outrageously smart and funny at every turn! People need to watch this - we've had decades of Seth McFarlane animation (which, to be fair, isn't bad, but isn't anywhere near this standard of intelligent comedy), so for something to come along and raise the bar this high is something you need to see to believe.

    Absolutely top drawer.

Rick and Morty season 2 managed to improve on the great first season. The plots to each of the episodes remain very original and mind bending but they also mange to stay really funny as well. This could be the best comedy currently on TV. It's totally out there and takes a while to get into, but once you're in, you're in for good. R&M has the most jokes per minute of virtually any show ever made. Even science says it's amazing. Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!!!

I don't generally like to dish out perfect 10s but I stuggle to find anything in Rick and Morty to complain about. Like most comedies there are jokes that fall a bit flat imo but I understand that not everyone is going to find every joke funny so I can't really complain. They never make a joke outstay it's welcome so it's bot really an issue if you don't click with a certain one. Rick & Morty is a very funny and sometimes dark animated SF comedy series. Justin Roiland is an extremely talented individual and he's the heart of this show. Episodes are generally self-contained, but there are references to other episodes and there is an interesting overarching story. I'm really curious to see where it goes.
