    Unfortunately, Resident Advisors settles too often for familiar college hijinks and obvious sex gags that do nothing a hundred broadcast sitcoms haven’t already handled.

    Hulu is giving us, as its latest original series, an amateurish “Animal House” knockoff called Resident Advisors that is very bad stuff indeed.

    Despite a couple of snotty critics dismissing this show, it's absolutely hilarious! Is it "Transparent?" No, and it's not meant to be. If you're too intelligent, mature, or hip to laugh at a girl who says "I can't sneeze without farting... but I can fart without sneezing!" then enjoy hating everything, but for the rest of us: give this show a shot! The actors are all very charismatic and the jokes are the sort of "clever-dumb" gags that make a 31 year-old man feel okay about still laughing at base bodily functions... Full Review »

It does reuse a number of common gags and errs on the side of predictable but it's not trying to be anything bigger than it is. The cast has a great chemistry and it's just a really fun show. The comedy follows a group of resident advisors and aHulu made the first two episodes of this new sitcom available to watch for free. The comedy follows a group of resident advisors and a resident director at a college dorm. The jokes are juvenile, but the show vaguely reminded me of that college experience. The characters are OK, and the comedy is OK, and that's about the nicest thing that can be said here. Full Review »
