This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Underwritten, cartoonish story. Typical of the kind of thing produced by the beeb and punted internationally, pushed as 'authentic'. It's quite horrible really. Obligatory inclusion of rich, mentally troubled anti hero, a child who is portrayed as largely unperturbed by her grim situation, and overall poor taste. I'm embarrassed on behalf of the writer's oblivious, patronising take. Nottinghill style 'Brit' media nonsense.… Expand

Good stuff here. Definitely an odd duck, especially for American audiences, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. At it's core, this is a show about broken people who refuse to be doomed by their past trauma. Both Daisy May Cooper and Jack FarthingGood stuff here.
