Queer Eye's third season is such a delight. It basically improves upon every aspect of the previous two and it has such a refreshingly positive attitude, which feels even more genuine and undeniable than ever before. I distinctly remember watching the original Queer Eye with my sister way back, and enjoying it, then came the reboot which was a lot of fun, but felt a little bit calculatedQueer Eye's third season is such a delight. It basically improves upon every aspect of the previous two and it has such a refreshingly positive attitude, which feels even more genuine and undeniable than ever before. I distinctly remember watching the original Queer Eye with my sister way back, and enjoying it, then came the reboot which was a lot of fun, but felt a little bit calculated and formulaic in a sense. However by now I'm perfectly reassured that these lovely people have all the right intentions and the third season of this wonderful show is the best it's ever been. Loved it. Expand

I cannot stress highly enough how good this show is. As reality shows go, QE is the best of the best as they give us a chance to learn about other individuals and realize the importance of belonging and joy. This season seems to have a heavier emphasis on the personal stories of each of the nominated participants which leads to better storytelling and a greater emotional impact.

It is kind and warm, and it is the most feelgood of feelgood TV, and it manages to entertain by crossing, for a time at least, boundaries of class, of race and of sexuality.

Tan, Karamo, Jonathan, Bobby, and Antoni are still charming and it’s still entertaining to watch them swoop into a new subject’s life and transform him/her/them from perfectly-fine-caterpillar into even-more-fine-butterfly. But three seasons in, Queer Eye has to contend with the fact that its template and rhythms have become very familiar.
