May 14, 2023I learned so much from this documentary. Cleopatra seemed like a fantastic woman!! this is very entertaining!
-
May 16, 2023I have no idea if this is worth a darn or not but seeing all the whining "F*** your feeling" crowd out in full force because someone is black on film needs a response. You should all go and watch Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany's so you can get back in your racist happy place.

Jul 7, 2023i think giving a tv show 0 is just lazy. It is coherent and reasonably well produced. As history it hsa absolutely no value. But there are some people who might enjoy it and find it uplifting or entertaining or something.
I personally thought it was extremely, ridiculously bad -

May 12, 2023This is literal racist propaganda designed to rewrite history. Complete misinformation. Not a documentary. Not historically accurate.

May 18, 2023Horrible. Couldn’t make it through the first episode. If you’re interested, good luck. It sucks.
-
May 12, 2023And ladies and gentlemen, this is how people become racists…Disgusting distortion of history. The Egyptians didn't really like blacks and they mostly did the most menial jobs in Egypt. And being Greek, I also feel insulted...

May 15, 2023If you want calls something a documentary you cant create history. This is a poor fiction garbage
-
May 11, 2023Um documentário que tenta deturpar a história de maneira preguiçosa e barata, negando quanlquer fato comprovado por historiadores para criar uma narrativa falsa baseada em achismo.
-
May 10, 2023Dumb, poorly-made, cheap-looking, wildly-inaccurate. A complete and total mess on every level. The one good thing it did was remind me to cancel my Netflix account.

May 17, 2023Another double posting (https://www.metacritic.com/tv/queen-cleopatra) to hide how badly this is being reviewed.
-
May 16, 2023What's next? Hitler was a lesbian redheaded and Moctezuma was a Japanese kid? Stop with the race and gender swapping of classic characters please! Make your own new characters if you want to be "inclusive" and "brave".

May 13, 2023Calling itself a historical documentary. Stealing other's history and try to rewrite it.
-
May 15, 2023Waiting now for Netflix's black Chinese Emperor. Netflix rewriting history would work as a comedy, but it does not work as a documentary.
-
May 11, 2023Fake historical facts, in netflix form.
Don't waste your time, this show is totally innacurate. -

May 16, 2023Wow this is so bad. Whoever wrote this needs to open a history book. I need to cancel my Netflix already.
-
May 15, 2023Awful and racist. Awful and racist. Awful and racist. Awful and racist. Awful and racist. Awful and racist.

May 14, 2023inaccurate, idiotic, cw-tier cheaply made stupid mess. this thing is a smoldering dumpster fire.
-
May 15, 2023A black cleopatra! Seriously? Such a waste of time watching nowadays Netflix shows
-
Obviously it can’t be serious historians (although it has serious historians in it) because they don’t need key moments acted out by thespians hamming it up like an episode of Tracy Beaker. Then again it has too many clever talking heads to please those who like history served up like Carry On Cleo.

Though we liked the experts that were interviewed for Queen Cleopatra, as well as Adele James’ performance as the famous queen, the dramatic sequences leave too much to be desired to keep us from just reading about Cleopatra online to get the information we want.
-
Despite having to vacillate between descriptions of her subject as a politician, a seductress and a warrior, James manages to excel in each. She brings intelligence and nuance to a performance that is strikingly better than what surrounds her.
