    I learned so much from this documentary. Cleopatra seemed like a fantastic woman!! this is very entertaining!

    I have no idea if this is worth a darn or not but seeing all the whining "F*** your feeling" crowd out in full force because someone is black on film needs a response. You should all go and watch Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany's so you can get back in your racist happy place.

    i think giving a tv show 0 is just lazy. It is coherent and reasonably well produced. As history it hsa absolutely no value. But there are some people who might enjoy it and find it uplifting or entertaining or something.

    This is a complete fabricated piece of fiction. But even as a piece of fiction this is not good. Is poorly writing. The stage and scenographic production is really bad. Acting performance of the cast is not consistent and lacks coordination. Gives the impression    This is not a documentary.

    I almost never write reviews. This one forced me to. I want my time back i wasted watching this. I cannot believe this even made it far enough to be streamed to anyone. Instead of any historical accuracy they made an interpretation of an actual documented historical figure to satisfy some directors woke fantasy . Bad writing,even worst acting. Boring and badly directed and produced tripe.I almost never write reviews. This one forced me to. I want my time back i wasted watching this. I cannot believe this even made it far enough to be streamed to anyone. I LOVE HISTORY so much it is the most important thing to me. This is just wrong WE KNOW what she looked like and her blood line. The show itself is probably like 2.4. This series is an affront to truth, reason and Egyptian culture. Instead of showing respect and understanding for Egypt's rich history and culture, the series grotesquely appropriates it and promotes a biased and racist view ofIt's hard to find the words to describe how terrible documentaries that promote inaccuracy, anti-science and racism are, such as the one Netflix recently released. Instead of showing respect and understanding for Egypt's rich history and culture, the series grotesquely appropriates it and promotes a biased and racist view of it.
    Instead of showing the beauty and complexity of Egyptian culture, the series seems more interested in imposing a stereotypical and false view of Egyptians. Furthermore, the series blatantly promotes blackwashing, and uses its platform to impose a biased and supremacist version of African-American culture, overriding and stealing history and culture from other parts of the world. The series purports to be a tribute to Egyptian culture, but in reality is an insult to its legacy and an affront to historical truth. It is a shame that Netflix allowed this series to be released, and it is even sadder that there are people who watch it and promote it as a positive thing.
    It is also important to note that the series promotes the false and racist idea that Cleopatra was a black woman. This theory has no historical backing, and has been debunked by numerous historians and archaeologists. The attempt to impose this false and biased version of history is another example of how the series seeks to eliminate Egyptian culture and race in favor of a biased and supremacist view of African-American culture. Because according to Hollywood and the woke racial supremacists, the fact that you are Latino or African immediately makes you black, and now they think they have the right to order you how to think about YOUR race and YOUR culture, they do it to Latinos with terms like "Latinx", it's a racist term invented to make American wokes with a 0.0000001% Latino percentage feel Latino like Jenna Ortega. This my friends, is called COLONIALISM.
    If you say all of Africa is black, regardless of the evidence of multiraciality on that continent, what is the difference between a white supremacist KKK to a liberal woke? None, they just change the color of a disgustingly supremacist speech.
    It's a shame that the hypothetical Netflix documentary was produced and released. The series is an example of how certain individuals and groups in the Western world, particularly left wing liberal woke in America, can appropriate other cultures and impose their caricatured and false version of them. Instead of respecting and honoring Egypt's rich history and culture, the series seeks to impose a biased and false view of it, and to degrade and reduce Egyptian culture to a racist, colonialist and simplistic stereotype.
    It should be noted that the producers and creators of the series seem to be completely ignorant of Egyptian history and culture. They are apparently more interested in promoting their own political agenda, rather than educating and entertaining their audience in an accurate and responsible manner. It is unfortunate that the series is seen by some as a tribute to Egyptian culture, when in fact it is an insult to its legacy and an affront to historical truth.    … Expand

    If you're a Guardian/ New York Times reader who feels a deep Marxist hatred for the Mediterranean world, then you may get some enjoyment from this    If you wanted to make a tv show about a black pharaoh then you could have based it on the Kush ites who came from Sudan. It would have been an interesting tale. But instead we get this 'Cleopatra was black' narrative from the usual suspects.

    Obviously it can’t be serious historians (although it has serious historians in it) because they don’t need key moments acted out by thespians hamming it up like an episode of Tracy Beaker. Then again it has too many clever talking heads to please those who like history served up like Carry On Cleo.

    Though we liked the experts that were interviewed for Queen Cleopatra, as well as Adele James’ performance as the famous queen, the dramatic sequences leave too much to be desired to keep us from just reading about Cleopatra online to get the information we want.

    Despite having to vacillate between descriptions of her subject as a politician, a seductress and a warrior, James manages to excel in each. She brings intelligence and nuance to a performance that is strikingly better than what surrounds her.
