Can you imagine what would happen? and how educated people act by staying without shouting or looting. I think we must do it cause of all those years all these swaps for no reason, just because.

May 10, 2023Disgusting, WRONG, and beyond disappointing. To ERASE a people's identity for a VANITY PROJECT is unthinkable and this show must be taken down immediately. It's wrong on ALL educational/academic levels and they have people straight up LIE in this ''DOCUMENTARY". Jada should be ashamed of herself, and her horrifying butchering of one of the most WELL KNOWN QUEENS IN THE WORLD, and throughout TIME.

May 11, 2023I’m not sure why we are okay with erasing history of certain groups. I often ask myself in politics, “If the roles were reversed and this happened, how would I feel?” I can confidently say that the outrage would be deafening in this case had the roles been reversed.

May 10, 2023The lack of character, and professionalism from EVERY single cast member of this show, makes one WORST shows ever filmed, the plot is bland, tasteless, the story is linear without any sense of progression, it lacks everything, and remarks in absolutely nothing, I wish I could have my time back, it was a waste of time and a waste of money.

May 12, 2023It's not a historical docudrama, it's an anachronistic 21st century soap opera with a few paid academic talking heads to give it a thin veneer of respectability. What little information we get about Cleopatra has more to do with truthiness and feelings than anything resembling historical fact.

Obviously it can’t be serious historians (although it has serious historians in it) because they don’t need key moments acted out by thespians hamming it up like an episode of Tracy Beaker. Then again it has too many clever talking heads to please those who like history served up like Carry On Cleo.

Though we liked the experts that were interviewed for Queen Cleopatra, as well as Adele James’ performance as the famous queen, the dramatic sequences leave too much to be desired to keep us from just reading about Cleopatra online to get the information we want.

Despite having to vacillate between descriptions of her subject as a politician, a seductress and a warrior, James manages to excel in each. She brings intelligence and nuance to a performance that is strikingly better than what surrounds her.
