JameswAug 5, 2006Warning: DO NOT LISTEN TO THE SECOND HALF OF THE CRITIC REVEIWS! instead listen to someone who watces this show consistantly, ive been watching since the beginning, one critic says shawn (yeah thats how its spelled) spence is nothing more than an overgrown kid. thats whats great about him, he is very immature at times. anyway this is refreshingly diferent than USA'S other detective hit Monk.

NeilCJul 24, 2006show is silly at times, but that's some of the fun. Dule Hill needs more action and James Roday needs to be slightly more serious... but again that is some of the charm of this show.........

kenbobJul 23, 2006Who cares about the crime, the lines are hysterical and plot keeps me awake. I love all the attention to just noticing simple details.

MarkCJul 18, 2006Wow - what a pleasant surprise! Very well done show and the lead is excellent - I really laughed a lot at times (particularly the restaurant scene where he meets the new police partner for the first time.... in episode 2). Way better than Monk.

TaniaSJul 16, 2006I love mysteries and Monk, and the last two episodes I saw of this show were really funny. I liked the chemistry between the two partners/friends. The only thing I didn't like is the whole son/dad relationship and trying to make it work..the whole episode about building the dog house dragged for a bit...overall, a good show and worth watching...

BrandonSJul 16, 2006The premiere was awful, but given that it's paired with Monk, I gave it another chance, and the second episode showed more life. I think this has potential, if only they could make the lead character as likeable as Dule Hill (or at least moderately more likeable than he is now). I'll give this show another try, so hopefully it'll find it's footing.

TamHJul 15, 2006Love this show. It is light and funny. Shawn and his sidekick and Shawn's dad are better characters than the cops. This new show is a breath of fresh air that makes our whole family laugh out loud.

C.B.Jul 14, 2006So much better than major network fare. It's a great companion piece to Monk. I wish Dule Hill's character was drawn better.

MicheleHJul 7, 2006A quirky comedy that embraces its hard-to-believe premise and contains just the right hint of drama.

BeckyJul 7, 2006A great show, very funny and clever. Not quite as good as Monk, but I'll give it some time. The best new show this summer!

-
JoelSJul 7, 2006This show is somewhat similar to Monk, in that it is based around a detective, but a lot better, from what was seen in the pilot episode!

It takes itself seriously pretty much not at all, which is precisely what we want at 10 p.m. on a summer Friday.
-
There are holes to fill, though, before this show gets up to "Monk" level. What's encouraging is that it starts solidly and has a chance to find itself.
-
It's not only laugh-out-loud-until-soda-squirts-out-of-your-nose funny, but it's also perfectly cast.
